Great Ad

It was great to see the ad run so early - and Apple did a great job of making an ad that supported the Oscars and blended in so well with the show. I've already had 1 phone call asking me about it (Since I'm the "Apple Guy" in the family).

You think this is a focused shift from music to movie or it was just for tonight?

Is Apple giving the fans a homework assignment?

Fill in the following for each 'Hello':

Hello #:
Actor Name:
Movie:
Character Name:

I wonder if we can squeeze any iPhone info out of it...

Yes. If you play it backwards at half speed it says Phil Shiller is the Shizzle and shows a hidden feature of the iPhone.

Peace Would You Mind Posting Your Workflow So We Know How You Got Such Perfect Encode

I take it that means you weren't recording the whole thing? Jeeze. It's freaking history. Well thanks for the excellent encode anyway. Looks great what you did get. You should describe your workflow in detail where you first posted it. I wish mine were that good.

did anyone else notice that the logo on the top of the iphone screen was changed to "at&t"

Don't worry. I'll bet my last dollar that a link on Apples home page will soon say "Watch the new iPhone ad!"

They will get much more mileage out of this than a single airing. :) :apple:

Nice ad.

Out of interest, I noticed on the iPhone that the caller was 'John Appleseed'

Found this:

Coincidence?

Umm.. There is no coincidence. Maybe you should get out more.

Also: They have already changed the splash on the phone in the commercial to show "AT&T"

Wasn't an ad fro the iPhone IMO

I heard the predictions but wouldn't believe it. There is so much hype about the iPhone, why would they need more? The shortages will be epic so why advertise. I thought the ad was pointless until I realized that they weren't advertising the phone--no seriously, bear with me--it is an ad for Apple not the iPhone. No features just association with entertainment over time.

Thinking about it that way, I think the ad was fine--it wasn't aimed at me, I'm already a convert. If they were really just ratcheting up iPhone buzz alone, then, I hated it.
