Sorry. I thought Apple could have done much better. This commerical was a huge disappoint for me. And to boot, the font they used to say "HELLO" looked worse than ****. *boo*

Just watched the HD version. Looks and sounds a little better but why did Apple say "Hello" in text and then "Coming in June" instead of "iPhone?" Some people don't even know the iPhone exists so I bet we're going to have a bunch of people now thinking the iPhone is called "Hello" and will be talking about "Dude, did you see that Hello thing that Apple is introducing in June?" Looks sweet! I don't know what it is but it looks cool.

And from the picture on the commerical, if I had no idea the iPhone exists I would have no idea what that device was other than an electronic gadget.

Sorry, but Apple's Marketing Team missed the mark on this one as far as conveying the important message goes, which is that Apple is now entering the cell phone market.

You just explained why they did it the way they did. You have to TALK about it to GET it. It's all about generating BUZZ not explicit BS. I think it's genius. Guys like you have to fill in the others who don't know yet. Word of Mouth. The Ad generates word of mouth marketing.
 
Excellent Ad for this Market

That was a very limp, weak ad... boring too. :( PLUS...June is a FREAKING long ass time to wait for this thing.

I build marketing campaigns for a living. The companies I support do very well. That is my credibility.

Now here's my opinion:

Apple's iphone was brilliantly done for this market. Multimedia is correct when he brings up the fact that this will get people talking.

Bravo Apple.

Anyone else notice that at no point during the commercial was it called an "iPhone"?

Just thought it was interesting.
