NO redesign. You think apple had a PR problem with the antenna issue? Imagine 3+ MILLION people who have an iphone 4 for 2 months, and the phone being improved and changed. The PR problem involved maybe.. 50 000 people (media bloggers, forums, ect). imagine that x60? Ya no redesign till next year.

if BGR confrims this? why is my name still listed on 3 different apple stores reservation/priority lists?

talked to the folks at the apple store also, they will still honor reservations/priority lists before any walkins, heck they dont even have any in stock!

No way. After denying any design problem publicly, to redesign any time soon would bring such a s**t storm that Apple wouldn't dare.

Agreed.

Folks the phone is what it is. Accept it for the next 11 months.

For those who REALLY believe a redesign is coming in September, don't you think the 3-5 million people with the 'old' design wouldn't scream bloody murder and insist on a replacement to deal with the 'design flaw' creating the need for a revision in the first place? Expecting a redesign in the next few months is absurd.

As has already been mentioned several different ways, I don't see anything "wrong" with my iPhone, so I find it hard to believe there is a redesign coming. Just thought I'd throw my opinion into the hat as well.

+100

OP: no one is impressed you took a completely unrelated article and slapped "redesign coming" on a thread. You sound downright foolish.

The OP could have a future in writing for Glenn Beck. The OP is great at taking one small piece of information and connecting it to a completely unrelated conspiracy.

Just buy the 3GS if you want a "redesigned" IP4, the 3GS really is just as good as the IP4. Everything else is fluff. And buy a Nikon SLR if you want a good camera.

NEWS FLASH!

Apple is selling iPhone 4s as quickly as possible. Period.

No conspiracy, no ulterior motive, they just sell them. :)

Any redesign in the near term would result in far worse PR for Apple than they've already had.

Nah. The "redesign" will be invisible when it happens, and it may already have. A thin dielectric coating, an adaptive antenna balun thingie, something like that.

Apple is selling them as fast as they can. So, there's no remaining inventory to sell.

I think Apple wants to just stop dealing with waiting lists. It has to be a hassle.

yea that makes sense

"hey faithful customers, early adopters...we fixed that little antenna issue. But you can't have it. Screw you!"

if they do this (doubtful imo) then I hope they at least allow us to exchange ours for the updated version.

The great majority of users are happy because they are oblivious ... ha... ha... ha... :)

Or because they aren't experiencing the "problem". The antenna issue is not a problem for everyone therefore we are happy. We are in the majority. But the unhappy people are noisier.

I sure hope they come out with a fix. I returned my iPhone 4 a few weeks ago so that I can wait for Apple to figure it all out.

I'll re-buy when it works as well as my iPhone 3G.

By the way, I'm a long-time Mac user and Apple fan, but the iPhone 4 isn't very reliable for me.

I'll be waiting for user reports of iPhone 4's working correctly before I consider purchasing one again.

They may have to just get over it. They bought a phone, not a 12 month license to own the latest and greatest.

Only one half of one percent of owners have complained about it to Apple. There is really no chance a number that small would force a near term hardware redesign.

Years ago I could trust Apple, I truly wish I could today but I don't. This low number seems self serving.

Numbers and statistics aside, there's no way Apple would ever admit to making any type of mistake. No matter what the price, they've "Shown Us" who's boss. Apple has spoken, Apathy reins supreme, people just keep enabling their behavior by sucking up & buying it.

Just think of how great Apple could be if held to the same standards as other premier companies like Mercedes & BMW.

Glad to see the PR speak worked on you. One half of one percent complained. The other 99.5% didn't waste their time calling as they read about it on the Internet.

Now of course that 99.5% number is me spouting off, but you get the point.

I never called Apple to complain, because my iPhone 4 works perfectly fine for me. I have yet to drop a call.
