Extimendo my friend. And that's why come Father Christmas day I'll be unwrapping a Nexus 7 or Fire HD. Because here in good ol blighty I can only see the new Mini starting at best from the same £250 range but more realistically from £300, ESPECIALLY if they ditch the iPad 2, mind you, if they start from £250 and actually have the balls to give it 8GB of ram I'll laugh hard..

The N7 doesn't even have the fit and finish of an iPod. That plastic tablet is not a premium product.

my bad, totally missed that

but it still sucks that it might not be retina

iPad mini most likely will compete with Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 which means its not going to be a premium device. Retina display means more processing power, bigger battery and higher costs and moreover would affect the sales of the bigger iPad. 1024x768 gives descent ppi on 7.85" screen and would work with all the existing apps without modification. I highly doubt retina display on the iPad mini, would be great if Apple did it though.

I think some people are reading into the tagline a bit too much here. The tagline ("We've got a little more to show you") is simply referring to the fact that at the beginning of the year they said that this is going to be a crazy year with a lot of awesome products and now that the year is almost over (and often times Apple doesn't have any presentations after the iPhone/iPod one), they are saying that they still have a bit more for us before the holidays, before the year is over.

all this and STILL NO MAC PRO!!!

So far this fall we have:
NEW iPhone models in 2 colors with 3 configurations each
NEW iPod models in a rainbow of colors
NEW iPod shuffles with 8 different colors
NEW iPod touch Models in 6 colors, 12 configurations

and coming next week

NEW iPad models in a rainbow of colors, 24 different configurations

NEW Mac Book Pro with retina
NEW iMac models refreshed less than a year ago.
NEW mac Mini models last updated last year.

Obviously Apple is very busy keeping up with all their disposable toys that go obsolete every 6 months.

I would trade in all of this garbage for ONE SINGLE MAC PRO TOWER UPDATE!
Ill make it easy, skip the skittles candy rainbow color scheme, plain old aluminum will do just fine!

Is this really too much for Apple?!

They want people to pay for Final Cut X, yet wont release a computer than can properly handle it! What average consumer will ever use Thunderbolt or even USB 3?! These technologies were designed for professional users yet their flagship PROFESSIONAL COMPUTER is stuck on Usb2! and to add insult to injury it is generations behind in processors and graphics!

Real Pro users livelihoods depend on having the fastest and most advanced technology for their business so they can compete, yet Apple, except for a minor speed bump, has not released anything worthy of a professional device in nearly 3 years!!!

Do any of you in Cupertino remember the FACT that Apple WOULD NOT EXIST were it not for all of the professional designers and video artists that drove your company to where it is today!

Does anyone at Apple remember when your website and flashy TV ads were all about your PROFESSIONAL computers!?

Glad you are making billions a day on your toys, but please sell those at Toys R US and get back to making computers for professionals!

iPad Jr.

I still don't see why they don't harmonize the Touch and the iPads into Small, Medium and Large. The "iPod Touch" differentiation made sense in an iPhone-only world, but not so much now.

This is going to be the longest week of my life.. Thats how excited I am :p

At last and give away in the title a little more to show you, aka mini ipad, will be selling my ipad 3:)

"We've got a LITTLE more to show you"
Thats the giveaway for the iPad mini, Mac mini, and 13 inch Retina Pro.

Or better yet, a mini iPhone 5! Back to the 3.5" screen! :p

Seriously though, if it does turn out to be an iPad Mini, the rest of the already Apple dominated tablet market is screwed.

I'll definitely go for one if they are priced at $249. I don't have a regular iPad nor would I buy one at their price points, but 249 is competitive and is something I'm definitely interested in. I'm sure others feel the same. Apple is capturing a different part of the market at that price point.

Or apple tries to convince you that smaller is better, and that the ipad mini is more than a regular ipad?? :)

Smaller is better.
Maybe not for the consumer but in industry, you bet!
My company alone just bought 300 Touches because the iPad was perceived as too big and too fragile.
Can't carry it on your belt.
Won't fit in a cargo pocket.
Too bulky to carry up a ladder or into ceilings and crawls spaces.
Now there's 300 people complaining that the screen on the Touch is too small.
An iPad mini would have been perfect.
Now multiply my business by the tens of thousands of other businesses in the same boat.
This is going to outsell the iPad by an order of magnitude.

Funny if by 'a little' they meant a few little updates to the iMac, Mac Pro and Mac Mini, but they didn't actually release any new products. The rage here would be funny.

Yeah, what a set-up. For whatever gets announced next week -- iPad Mini and updated iPad seems most likely to me -- there will still be rage here. And it will be funny.

Keynote :

They better not. I'm still pissed that airplay mirroring wasn't supported on my <2 year old iMac. They rev the iPad less than a year after I bought it and I'll...

I'll...

I'll buy it again, who the hell am I kidding? Sigh. :(

The Touch is marketed as a camera, esp. now with the wrist-band.

I think they see it as a niche product since the iPad mini will overshadow the Touch
