Copyright is only enforced sometimes and in some countries and cultures. It's not a law of nature.Copyright is an evil bitch and she don’t care!
Just like math.
Downvote all you want. You still know it’s the truth.
Not of late, they have been making bad decisions for over ten years.
They stopped caring about consumers long ago.
Corporate American Greed in full swing.
Have to love attorneys on retainer… 😡It wasn't apple it was one of their IP law firms that did the work for some extra cash
Who cares? Not everybody has your time to waste reading every news site every day. It remains "news" to many of us.A bit late since this was reported on a different site last week...
EDIT: Apple kills long-time event archive on YouTube
Dislikes/Disagree? Really?
This is the correct answer. 👍 I can see them producing a limited edition DVD boxset... similar to the book they produced with photos of their products.Apple probably has plans to monetize those videos by making them exclusively available in the Developer app and injecting them with ads.
Your labeling these recordings are derived from public addresses, how is a presentation before an audience that paid some admission for MacWorld, or WWDC free to the public? Some broadcasting companies might be given snippets for new releases, but we assume they were all granted permission. Look online, is any company really furnishing historical keynotes or developers sessions these days? There is always the chance someone has it on YouTube for sure, but YouTube also has a lot of content not authorized being streamed, examples of recent TV, Movies present. Perhaps after permission is granted this stuff will return, as it’s not exactly something most people could be bothered to see, except from a historical news or educational reason.
No, more like “What other videos were on the channel?”ahhhh - the "Maybe What If Possible Could Be" scenarios.
That would be discarding Steve Jobs method as well.Would be nice if Apple discarded the Henry Ford method of “History is bunk”
What possible reason does Apple have to do this? Seems a bit petty if you ask me and not a good look for the company.
Yes, and they can save those files, too, it’s not hard. Anyone that really wants to keep these HAS kept them. Can any user watch the live stream of the keynote each year for free? Yes. They are public. It would be very different if these were behind closed doors with admission.
They have to be consistent with protecting their IP or they loose their rights. If they allow him to knowingly infringe on their copyrights they have no leg to stand on when someone else does.
I think you probably hit the nail on the head. Boring, pre-recorded, hi-res infomercials (called films), verse live, adrenaline anything can happen moments with Steve. You gotta admit, with Steve, you were at the edge of your seats. Tim is just a snooze fest if you watch all the keynotes from 2011 up to now.
Yeah, he wasn't perfect, but I am not gonna debate his personal life or his personal choices. His own psychotic level of selfish meanie behavior is why ended up being the 'richest man in the graveyard'.![]()

And his wife has a war chest of money to sanitize his image.
Apple provides free viewing of multiple keynotes on their web site, they also are a Youtube content author which you can see atCan any user watch the live stream of the keynote each year for free? Yes. They are public. It would be very different if these were behind closed doors with admission.
