rasism and ignorance are buzz words you hear all too often in the main stream media or the liberal media, seems like people with out an argument like to use them. It does nothing for anyone.

It isn't really that hard to construct your thoughts to avoid coming across as racist. Just stop singling out muslims and start singling out the Middle East.

Funny how it's not including other countries like Saudi, Turkey, UAE, Egypt or indonesia who are all equally likely to be an issue under Trumps thinking... Oh hold on a minute Trump has business dealing with them.

We've had issues with all those countries in the past so why did no previous President do the same? Not to mention if you actually do the research those 7 countries are ISIS strongholds. But I guess hatred of Trump takes it all.

And, yes I think the list should be increased. But it's a start.

Err, by the measure the polls measure (i.e popular vote). She did.

Because it's against the constitution. Because none of the people from those countries have ever committed terrorism against the US. Because it's against the bible. Because it's against the Statue of Liberty.

So it's 38% approval. Still terrible.
Yawn....

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 53% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 39% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +1. (see trends).

I never used a race in anything i said. so how is that racist? I know its hard to believe, but I'm not a racist, I have friends and coworkers of all races, religions and so on. Does that sound like a racist to you?

I'd be good with that. He's a horrible CEO.

All Progressive leadership companies... How about y'all stop bitching and start hiring back AMERICAN workers? Eh?

How about educating American workers who know zip about electronics. Oh hold on Trump is gearing up to completely rip that apart too as he thinks the $73b education budget is way too much as it is.

The truth of the matter is certain countries have way better specialist education and value engineering and math over Glee club or football and don't all think they will win the x-factor.

Let's see:
1. Lower infant Mortality rates and longer lifespans
2. Less public debt per capita
3. Fewer families headed by 1 parent households, fewer teen pregnancies and abortions
4. Lower health care expenditures as percent of GDP
5. Larger middle class and fewer adults and children at the poverty level
6. Lower average household debt and higher average savings

The list goes on so yes perhaps we should study those countries and learn something.

do those statistics apply to no-go zones?

how about rape stats?

The schools are over funded. There is a ton of waste. They should stop teaching kids how to choose their own gender, how to put a condom on a cucumber, etc, and focus on the hard sciences and developing minds that can actually produce something.

The parents of these kids have to also take their noses out of the devices and start parenting again. The parents in my kids' school disgust me. They are mostly just big teenagers themselves mentally.

That may be true, but there are plenty of examples of racism in the thread, where people are singling out Muslims for being backward rather than being more specific.

I thought you were against government benefits and for personal responsibility .

I don't recall arguing that it applied anywhere outside of the 7 countries named, nor is anyone arguing it is a worldwide ban. Trump didn't help himself when he announced he wanted to give preferential treatment to Christians living there.
But words do matter. If you call this temporary entry ban from 7 countries an "immigration ban" or a "Muslim ban", what would you call an actual immigration ban, or an actual Muslim ban?

It's the same mistake as calling anyone who disagrees with you bigoted or racist. The words themselves lose meaning and when you get an actual racist or bigot, you can in fact no longer identify it from the others since you have no applicable words anymore. You cannot convince anyone of anything. You can only agree with those who already think like yourself.

In your example, it's as if you banned me personally from your business premises, but since I'm a Christian, I'd claim everywhere that you banned Christians. So you didn't ban all of them, just like this executive order didn't ban all immigration, or all Muslims, but these are just nuances you don't seem to particularly care, as long as you get to denounce something and show the world how virtuous you are.

As for Trump giving Christians preferential treatment, I believe the context was religious persecution. Christians in Syria went through a particularly bad version of hell under ISIS, with mass decapitations/rape/etc. I would too give them preferential treatment, in the mass of refugees running away from war, they have that extra reason to run away.

What about the Yadizi?

OK, so what should it be called? A temporary partial muslim ban?

That's fair.

I am. And this quote doesn't contradict that. sigh.

When we spend an ever increasing amount on education and yet our kids do worse and worse each year you have to wonder where the money is going? It makes sense to put education back in the hands of the localities (state/city/county/whatever) than trying to do it all at the Federal level.

Seems that if these "Professional Educators" can't do it that we should try something else.

Wow. That's as ignorant as the Cheeto Hitler. You think that if someone wanted into the country to cause damage they'd come via legal obvious means.

Oh and hold on a minute...

The top 4 countries with terrorists are Saudi, UAE, Egypt, Lebanon - all with Trump Businesses. Make no mistake that He is entirely out for himself and cares not one single jot about actual humans. The recent Wall street regulation Reversal proves that.

What about them? They also got a raw deal.

No, since the ban applies to all citizens of these countries, irrespective of faith. Non-Muslims from these countries are also prohibited entry.

How about calling it what it actually is, i.e. a temporary entry ban for citizens from a few middle-Eastern countries?

Which is what happens in rich areas.

Guys, just look at what the poor peaceful refugees are doing in Europe right now. There is much more than those high profile attacks you've seen on TV. There are no go zones, there are actual sharia patrols, there are groups of young men beating people up for fun, there are dramatic increases in criminality, there is an actual censorship in place (e.g. on Facebook).

Even a rich first world country can only take so many immigrants before it all goes down like a house of cards.

Apple itself wouldn't have happened without them. Steve Jobs was the son of a Syrian immigrant fleeing political persecution.

That was Steve Jobs's biological father. "Jobs" is not a Syrian name. Steve Jobs's adoptive father was a white Calvinist. Jobs never met his biological father and as Wikipedia puts it "Jobs also never showed an interest in his Syrian heritage or the Middle East".

Nothing like injecting some social justice into a dead man's legacy.

Just like the pushback against Obamas Supreme Court nominee?
Nope. Not since Grover Cleveland has a President had a Supreme Court nominee affirmed in the last year of his term, the Senate preferring to let voters have a say. Just like this year. It was a major issue in the election and served to unify the fractured R party.

Senators used to be elected in State congresses before a rule change to let voters decide. This is the United STATES of America, after all. This administration plans to transfer a bunch of administrative activity back to the states including Education and Environment. Possibly even Mediscare.

Calling Trump "Hitler" is what's truly ignorant. If you think Trump is at all comparable to someone who tortured, starved, and murder over 6 million people then I'm not sure how anyone can help you. To make this comparison not only sounds incredibly ignorant it also minimizes the suffering those people went through and the pain that those who survived still endure.

Just gross.
