If I am reading the prices right, the refurbished M3 iPad Air is now $589. It looks like the new price was $549. So Apple is wanting you to pay more for a used Air than it cost new!🙄

My M2 Vision Pro, M2 MacBook Air and iPad mini 7 are all going strong. I just bought a new TV for a new spot in my house so was in need of a new Apple TV and got it from Target before they raised prices.

I'm going to need a new Apple Watch as my battery is getting bad, but I'll wait until next year when the version 12 has a deal.

Time to hunker down.

Uff, you’re mistaken…prompt engineering is a lasting skill, not a temporary hack.

Even the most advanced AI models are tools that respond based on input quality. Skilled prompting is like clear writing, precise programming, or effective delegation: it leverages the system’s full capabilities, reduces hallucinations, chains reasoning, and elicits better-structured outputs.

Top performers consistently get superior results faster than casual users, just as expert coders outperform beginners with the same IDE/language, or great interviewers extract more from the same candidate pool. As models improve, the relative advantage of expertise often grows, not shrinks because advanced users unlock emergent behaviors, custom workflows, and iterative refinement that novices miss. Moreover, knowing how to program your own custom agents is going to be a requirement for most future jobs in the next 2-3 years and then it will quickly start to eliminate the jobs of those that cannot, without replacements.

The “magic” doesn’t eliminate the need for skill; it rewards it. Disparity isn’t short-lived—it’s structural.
AI helped you write this didn't it.

I kid, I kid.

Perhaps a mix 😉

This is an election year and AI is on a lot of people’s minds, and cost of living is also out of control.

The Utah Senate President just lost his primary to an anti AI republican. He is so pro AI in Utah the new DC that uses more power than the entire state does today and waste too.

Soon none of us will be buying a new phone every year it will be every 5 years or longer. Don’t worry the carriers will offer 60 month 0% financing for that $4000 iPhone.

The 16” Macbook Pro M5 Pro with 40-core GPU, 128GB, and 2TB that I paid $5,300 for 2 months ago now goes for $6,999. I think I will put on Craigslist for $6,000 and make an easy $700.

Apple gross margin Q3 FY2023..............44.5% .......... every quarter since then until............ Q2 FY2026...............49.27% .............it has been increasing...........

This is opportunistic........ I don't fault apple for doing this but this is not about "covering costs".............. It's simply a calculated business move to INCREASE margins further..... In the end if customers keep buying it will pay off handsomely!!

It seems like I got the last Macbook Air 13" Silver at Amazon for the $949 price. I was waiting for the back to school sale for my college bound daughter. I guess if that still happens, I might get a reasonable deal on a Neo, since even the $100 price hike keeps that as a reasonable value.

Apple has been fully transparent about the coming price increases. This wasn't a surprise.

The memory manufacturers are the ones raking in the mint. Point your finger at them.
Apples GM's have increased consistently every single quarter in the last 36 months (%49.27 most recently)............ .......Apple is a VERY profitable company with no "cost issues"............. They are just taking advantage of the current "situation" which is what any business does........ I don't fault them for doing this but it not to "cover costs"............... it's opportunistic............

Their GM over the next few quarters will certainly top 50% (it was in the high 30's 10 years ago) and continue the upward trend.........

The good news is that iPhone prices have not gone up. My 17 Pro Max purchased last year was $1999. Same price as of today.

Not sure, but it looks like the only products affected are Mac’
Don’t get your hopes up. There was no point in increasing iPhone prices today when in two months you have a new one. They will announce the new one and slip a price increase

+$300 on a MacBook Pro is honestly a paradigm shift in who will ever think of purchase that product. I honestly cannot believe my eyes.

Oh man, I just bought 2 new M5 airs 2 weeks ago (13" & 15"). The 13" was $200 OFF at amazon so thats a $400 savings today. Glad I did that! See ya in 10 years for the next one Apple. 😂

Tech companies still pushed for it, and continue to do so whilst the general public are hating it.
Not true, the use of ChatGPT has grown steadily. The surveys say they hate it, but you still use it.

People "hate" Justin Bieber but he's the most popular singer. General public "hates" popular stuff all the time.
