Seems like you can't do education pricing with free AirPods and use Apple Card Financing.

They should've waited on this until the iMac gets reveled. I'd be mad, if this student offer doesn't include the new iMac 2020 27-inch (hopefully 29) screen.

Ugh. I just ordered on June 9. Would they honor my request for this promotion or would I have to return the MacBook Pro and place a new order? Has anyone asked them yet?

Update: chatted online with a specialist and they were able to put through an order for a free pair of AirPods. I have them already but will sell to help offset the purchase of the computer. It took about 15 min for her to do it.

Just called in as I took delivery of an edu MacBook Air and qualified for "appeasement" (as Apple calls it); they offer you the ability to pay the difference between basic AirPods and the upgraded wireless case OR moving to a pair of AirPods Pro.

If they have an imminent launch don’t they usually postpone shipping dates so you don’t get stuck with a product in a promotion cycle? All you’d have to do is return and exchange, which they realize and know costs them money to do so with shipping, repackaging, inspection plus wasted labor at the storeS in dealing with it.

Is this limited to one per household?
What if I get 2 iPad for each of my kids? Can I get two pairs of AirPods?

It is, you pay the difference depending on which you get. iPad Air and Pro come with AirPods with charging case, Macs (excluding mini and Pro) come with AirPods with wireless charging case.

Really? I was told that the base "free" offer was regular case...

As long as each purchase is made under a different Apple ID.

All the adults pretending to be students getting this new deal

Heh, last year I bought my college-bound daughter a laptop with the Beats deal. She said she'd never use them, but wanted me to get the blush pink ones just in case. I told her no chance, I'll buy the blue ones because either I'd use them or I'd sell them and get her some Airpods. And after staring at the unopened box sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks, I finally decided I didn't need them and listed them for sale. And while I don't remember the exact price, I sold them on FB Marketplace to someone local and just three days later every online vendor dropped the price of beats to somewhere around fifty bucks lower than what I sold them for. Got lucky there.

I haven't ordered the current iMac. What I meant was, that I hope after the reveal (if the rumors are true), that they add it to the student discount :)

Bought my MacBook Air through the education store May 28th for store pickup. I think it was like the first or second day they allowed pick ups. I just called the store to speak with a manager and she said she would credit me back a free pair of airpods. I just need to bring my box and receipt so it will be easier for them to process. I am glad they are doing this even though I’m passed the 14 days. Call your local store if you are not too far outside the 14 days and speak with a manger.

Yup, just call in and explain and they will transfer you to post-sales support. Took about 5-10 minutes to sort out; the AirPods arrive Thursday :D
I ordered on may 25th and they did not honor it, time to return and repurchase an ipad pro and wait 2 weeks.

What if you are interesting in buy your elementary or high school kids a product? Or is this promotion only applicable for post-secondary students?

Was wondering this, too. I don’t remember what they’ve done in the past for K–12 students. We‘ll need a new laptop for the kids to use in the event they’re doing more distance learning in the fall.

Yeah, I did the exact same thing, and they were very reasonable.

You can probably try to call again and speak to a different representative because I just saw a comment that said they ordered theirs May 28th, and they were able to receive the deals.

Spent 30 mins on hold but no luck on a prior purchase. Ordered 2020 MBA on 4/30 and received on 5/18.
Figured I wouldn't get it, but it was worth a shot. Online chat told me that my order should be eligible, but the rep told me that it applies to orders after 5/30 :(
