You're totally off base with your erroneous comments.

I got a pair for Christmas and love them. They're comfortable, they have good sound, and I can make and take phone calls with them.

The point of beats isn't that they're de facto bad headphones, but that other brands offer same or better quality for less money. Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamic...

I must say that Beats headphones are the most overpriced crap I've ever encountered.
I was on the lookout for a good over the ear headphone and went through a stores entire offerings and Beats came in last on my list. Perhaps the kind of crap music Mr Dre put out sounds good with that rumbling bass, screaming treble and muddle midrange but nothing else. And those were among the most expensive headphones too.
Now, whenever I see "famous people" wear Beats headphones I just shake my head...

If you're gonna buy a pair of Beats, go for the Studio Wireless.

I got some Studios last year when they were on sale for $250 and I ended up paying about $230 for them. Pretty nice if you ask me. Definitely better than the $50 Sony pair I had before with noise-canceling. The rotating headphone on that one broke, so I had just been dealing with earbuds since.

I've heard love and hate for Beats. It was hard to determine from the store displays since kids with bad parents pretty much love to destroy them. Bose also sounds good, but the Bose model wasn't on sale and I know I had seen the Beats Studio model had a cord with a microphone and volume control built in. There was a 30-day return policy, so I tried them. Still really love them.

People who think other brands are better: Those brands should try putting demo units out somewhere. I am not going to spend $300 or whatever on headphones without trying them on first. Even with some return policy, is my shipping covered and how long is it going to take to figure out whether I like different models?

The reason I didn't go wireless is it wasn't worth another $150. I was honestly on the fence about paying $230. I thought about getting Monoprice's $80 BT wireless set, but again see above. If I ever get a raise again, I may get some of those wireless ones. My mission in life is to help kill all wires.

Is this something you can plug in to something like the Beats Studio headphones audio jack? If you don't know, the actual headphones don't have a tethered cord. It comes with a couple of cords with 3.5mm plugs on both ends. This device looks like it might work by plugging in to that jack on the headset, but I don't know if there's certain tech missing from headphones that would keep this from working. Most of the questions and comments on that product seems to be about car use. I've got a car with built-in Bluetooth now to give me that function, so this would just be to convert some Beats Studios into wireless ones with minimal stuff dangling off.

Apple really need to decide what they want Beats products to be. It's too confusing. Should we consider all Beats branded products to in fact be Apple products and are Apple happy enough with the quality of them to lend them that name? Apple should put their logo on all of Beats' products if they want it to be absolutely clear.

So, have these Improved in sound quality? I recently tried a pair of Solo HD, and was amazed how far they progressed since the first generation models, they are horrendous. Though I did return them, while being much improved, they were not worth the asking price to me.

Given thier brand new worldwide radio service is Beats one, they are keeping them separate.

Simple fact, they are separate companies, one owns the other. There should be no confusion about which logos should be used.

Are these some kind of a sports model?
If not, why do they have to look like a hearing aid?

Interesting tendency: Apple of the past (under the reign of king Steve) would have assimilated every company they bought and use the technology in new or existing products, but always under the Apple banner.

And now we get this.

It seems, Apple is ashamed itself to put their logo on these. That's why the beats brand is still alive in general ;). Real headphones from a real doctor!

Poor design is correct. Obviously not "designed in California and made in China" rather "designed and made in China"... I Purchased a pair that failed, good luck getting support. Call apple, no call beats, no call apple. $45 ebay knock offs sound just as good I hate to say it. Apple earbuds that come with your iPhone are far superior in sound quality.
Which iPhone comes packaged with wireless headphones??

Havent they learnt lesson from 5c? People are after quality earphones, not fancy colored piece of s**t.

Bluetooth headphone - more convenience at the expense of sound quality. Part of the downward sound spiral initiated by iPod listening years ago.

"What happened to my sound quality? Is it all right? Is it okay?"

"It seems in your anger, you acquired Beats"

I'm quite happy with my Jaybird Bluebuds X, but I eagerly await new Apple designed bluetooth earbuds.
lewisd25,

Have you had any problem with the Jaybirds disconnecting from your AppleWatch?

I have the same setup as you. I like the Jaybirds a lot, and they work perfectly when connected to my iPhone. But when they are connected to my Apple Watch -- where AW is the music source -- the Jaybirds periodically disconnect from the wireless signal and I need to re-choose them as my AirPlay device for the music to continue.

Besides all the Beats bashing, someone still seems to buy the products. Else they wouldn't be such a success. Perhaps even people outhere :D
