Went with the clear Incase. They make good cases and I know I won't be using this one much anyways. I want a Incase Slider case!
Griffin Reveal
For what it's worth the Griffin Reveal is a pretty awesome case. I've had mine on for weeks and it's collected a bunch of scratches on the hard plastic (as opposed to my iPhone having said scratches) and protected my iPhone from a fall off my couches armrest onto my tile floor just the other night. Not to mention it fits really snug. I highly recommend it.

Aug 22nd only applies to iPhones bought in July. You have 30 days from your purchase date and an ultimate deadline of 30 Sep.

They made an app because all iOS devices have a unique identifier that apps can access, thereby allowing them to restrict it to one per device.
Probable the easiest way for them to confirm that you actually have an iPhone 4, since the only way to order would be through the actual device.
Prevents people from trying to scam the system for a free case to a phone they don't even have.
They created an app to limit the program to people actually having an iPhone 4 and to limit it at 1 per phone using the AppleID.

any more opinions on which case to go with.. Bumpers are unless IMO. And I get one free even if they all suck.. so which is best of the worst..
Plain old bumper for me. Good selection of cases though. Just wish there was a soft case in there. Don't really care for hard cases.
I picked up this case at BB and at the time they only had white in stock. After about 4-5 days the white started to turn brown. So I bitched to Griffin and they sent me a black one but they also wanted proof that I destroyed my white one (lame).
In all its a nice case. I dropped my phone while using the LED flash as a flashlight to look down an opening from my attic to my basement to run some Coax. Phone fell in this chute. Other than a ding or 2 on the back of the case my phone was perfectly fine. (don't ask how I got it out but I did).
Actually it is kind of an ingenious idea by Apple as I'm sure they can track each iPhone using the app and it's extremely convenient for the iPhone users. Brilliant!
I would assume that with the free bumper from Apple this price will definitely come down if not be completely free. Good luck though!
Actually, the app uses either the phones ECID or IMEI numbers to identify if a case has been ordered. If it just used the persons store login, anyone could change that and get another case.
