Apple Launches Free iPhone 4 Case Program

Aug 22nd only applies to iPhones bought in July. You have 30 days from your purchase date and an ultimate deadline of 30 Sep.

One thing I'm wondering.
I'm going to order an iPhone off the apple website sometime in the next couple of days.
The availability is 3 weeks, and it seems to be taking around a week then for the phones to actually be shipped to the address. Which is about 30 days.
So would I still be able to do this when I get my phone?

If you sign up and get a free bumper, you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions of the program. Has anyone looked at those "terms and conditions?"

I would assume that with the free bumper from Apple this price will definitely come down if not be completely free. Good luck though!

Yep, im sure prices will drop dramaticly, but im pretty sure that i could achieve a nice profit on it. even £15-20 would be good to fund an apple itunes card

Bumper color choices is my bet, as a matter of fact i bet there will be 100 threads about it by the end of the day and how people will return their iphones because there were no color choices.

An app was pretty smart on Apple's part. It keeps people from scamming the system, and even prevents you from ordering more than one from any given iPhone. I tried to order one for my wife's phone from mine and it wouldn't let me. I guess I'll have to wait until I get home to do it from her actual phone.

They will probably do a scan later to check your email hasn't received a refund already. I applied for a free case also just to see if it will go through.

I also got a refund for a bumper that my friend asked me to pick up and reimbursed me for, and he obviously wants the money back. Since Apple emailed me my receipt to my Apple ID email, I wonder if that's going to cause a problem when I apply for my own case.

It says on the app that you have to sign in. What if you use your apple ID on another iphone 4, will it still work?

Plain old bumper for me. Good selection of cases though. Just wish there was a soft case in there. Don't really care for hard cases.

+1 - but isn't the Speck PixelSkin HD a soft case? Anyone have experience with it?

Got the Belkin Shield Micra... I like as little bulk on my phone as possible, and this looks like it has better wrap around protection than the inCase.
