What makes you think it is only 1000?

That is why I said 1000+ in my post...hell could be 2500 or 5000 or 10000, doesn't matter because I am pretty sure Apple expected it and probably/should be prepared for it.

My honest opinion is that it has nothing to do with a bunch of people trying to access at the same time but more of Apple running into big issues

Working perfectly for me. Except I can't sign in from System Prefs.

hum.. i can use mail.app to get to my new @me.com email i just signed up for, but i can't login to either the windows mobile me client, or the mac system preferences, or the website :(

But i tried to sign up again, and told the username exists. I guess its just buggy.

Of course by now I am used to frequent disruptions of .mac and don't have any high hopes for .me either. At least we can hope that it can't get much worse than .mac has been for the last year.

Seriously? Not that it matters, but I cannot think of a single disruption in the last 5 years or so. Maybe I just somehow missed the disruptions. I use .mac for my email.

this is how people get addicted to gambling. This random reinforcement schedule.

"maybe this one more dollar will win me the jackpot!"

"maybe if I hit reload one more time..."

I'm just as guilty as the next guy

What would be real nice is, instead of the random "hey it's up again" post, perhaps you try to access all the functionality FIRST, i.e., load your contacts, schedule, and actually LOAD and TEST mail before declaring it's up.

I've gotten to the point of my contacts loading, a red icon on the envelope indicating I have new mail, but mail doesn't load. And if I try to go further I get unceremoniously dumped back to the default mobileme web page. In other words, It's STILL DOWN.

Sheesh. Verify functionality before screaming "IT'S UP!". I'm just sayin'.

Thank you.

I know people are excited, but all this 'it's up', 'it's down' business without adding anything to the conversation probably will mean your post will get deleted.

Seems like Apple's finally slowly pushing MMe. Could access everything except mail at a stretch.

P.S.: The Interface is gorgeous! And its much faster than .Mac. It also doesnt load the whole page to change from gallery to contacts for example.

i imagine they have a ton on thier plate. MobileMe, 2.0, and new iPhone activations. It seems like this could be a regular occurance over the next week.
Then they REALLY should have launched this LAST week, to get the kinks out before TOMORROW (or what 7pm CST today as it is being sold 12am somewhere in the world). I mean COME ON APPLE, use those brains for something OTHER THAN PROGRAMING!!

Dumb Question

This is a dumb question I know but if I use someone else's computer to check my email (xxxxx@.mac) where do I now go to sign in? There used to be a much easier way to get the the webpage to log in. Where is it now? I don't care about all the iPhone integration crap. I just need to be able to check my email using other peoples computers. Where is the log in screen now? I can't find it anywhere.
