I remembered hearing that the 8th developer beta which was 5A345 became the GM and came with the iPhone 3Gs that the early reviewers got. Your download is 5A347. Does that mean the new iPhones don't have the latest firmware, or the reviewers just got a beta release?

In Switzerland NO me.com and no updates through software updates. That's why I am downloading iPhone 2.0.

App store on iTunes is working though (2 apps already downloaded, one bought (which I think activated the app store, as I red somewhere) and the second one is remote control).

you can option+click restore from the iphone summary screen in itunes, this will allow you to choose a firmware to install

Doesn't work, everything is grayed out when directing iTunes to the folder.

I think they'll release the iphone 2.0 update, and whilst everyone is downloading that, they'll switch on .me again, so that people gradually try logging on as they get bored of the iphone update.....
