On every device I have - including a windows 10 laptop - I only see a profile download for iOS 8.4, not 9.

Anyone else?

Anyone notice the screen down shift? Every time I open an app or close one or go to home screen, there is a gap above the height of the top status bar. So it looks like the status bar is double in height and the bottom half is just empty space

I have the exact same issue.

I don't know what everyone else's deal is, but battery life on my 6 is doing just fine. Now beta 1, THAT was a different story...

Yes battery life is fine as well as the performance of the OS. There are a few slight glitches here and there but most things run very well.

I was first thinking of command line utilities, but how about this:

http://www.publicspace.net/PhotoDateChanger/

It sounds like it can do exactly what you want. It says it will "Correct Finder Sorting for Digital Photos." I presume you still have the correct scan dates in the EXIF data, don't you? (for that matter, perhaps you'd care to put the approx. correct shooting dates in there).

Then you sort them in Finder according to Data Created (or whatever file attribute you copy the scan date to) and drag them into Photos. At least it worked for me - they appeared in my new Photos folder in exactly the same order Finder had them in before I dragged them over). Might be worth $10 until Apple allows you to dynamically re-sort at will.
I have written my own utilities to pull photos annotated with the correct date and location information out of iPhoto, which I could use in the manner you describe. However, that still leaves me with the problem that Photos does not provide the simple, and basic, capabilities to sort photos according to the user's wants. We, the user base, are in pretty sad shape if we feel that we are letting Apple down unless we find work arounds to things that should, in someone's words, "Just Work." Wish I could remember who said that.

And yes, I'm filing feedback reports on this, and other, Photos issues.

No Watch OS 2.0 b3 is required for the watch to pair.

System Requirements

watchOS 2 beta supports iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 9 beta. iOS 9 beta software should be installed from the Apple Developer website using the latest released version of iTunes.

Wrong, I can confirm the watch will work with iOS 9 beta without having watch OS 2 beta installed.

Sounds like a real issue. Of course it should have this capability. But at least you're not stuck - you're just trying to get them to fix it!

Reset your phone by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and home button until the apple logo appears.

Anyone else get a little irritated that task switcher places apps on the left instead of the usual right?
Over all pretty smooth on iPad Air 2, had a hiccup when I just installed it but a force restart fixed it.

It is a big deal when the final release arrives. There will be no easy "sudo nvram boot-args="rootless=0"" command since they're removing nvram boot-args (they said so during a developer keynote). You will have to reboot, hold Cmd+R to enter the Recovery Partition, go to the Utilities menu, Security Configuration, disable rootless, reboot to the full OS, run trimforce, reboot to the recovery partition, re-enable rootless, etc etc... Some people don't even have recovery partitions (it's not created by the installer on Core Storage or RAIDs). So yeah it's a big deal.

If you are running the public beta and your rootless is enabled, then please try "sudo trimforce disable". If it's still broken, it will just say that it cannot delete /System/Library/Extensions/AppleDataSetManagement.kext.
I just ran it. It ran just like it had on 10.10.4, so I think it's good.

I'm not sure if I needed to, since I'd already run trimforce successfully on 10.10.4 before doing the upgrade to PB1. And I forgot to check System Report before running it, but it's certainly enabled now!

Wow! El Cap flies on my old 2009 MacBookPro! My main computer, a brand new iMac sludges along frustratingly for some basic tasks on Yosemite and my 6 year old laptop performs tasks instantly. I'll be installing El Cap on my iMac soon if no major bugs come up in the Public Beta.
I don't know what constitutes "flying," or whether my 2008 MacBook Pro 17 is doing it, but it sure has a small memory footprint:

Screen Shot 2015-07-09 at 10.30.55 PM.jpg

This is just after startup, with nothing running but Activity Monitor, after it's settled down (it was using around 1.08GB right after boot). This is about half of what I'm used to seeing, so it looks very promising. I guess Apple's quite serious about continuing to sell 4GB machines!

I hope performance matches up. We'll see how things go as applications are started and closed, but this is (potentially) very exciting!

Quick question folks

I got over excited and enrolled and downloaded the "feedback" app thing before I did a back up...... I haven't installed iOS 9 beta yet....

I assume I'm ok to do a back up in iTunes now before I install ios9 or have I messed up by enrolling first ?

Is Siri working on iPhone 5? Mine keep saying that it has a connection problem :-/
Other things are working good, looks like exactly like iOS 8, apart for the S.Francisco font...

Furthermore, on the iPad Air I am able to download the profile but at the restart it shows me only iOS 8.4 as the most updated software.

Thanks a lot for testing! There is no harm in running the command multiple times, so make sure that you run both "sudo trimforce disable" and "sudo trimforce enable".

If you (or someone else who has the public beta) can run that and get no errors then it means Apple has finally fixed El Capitan.

That would be a stunning cause for celebrarion. In all the past developer betas it used to fail unless the user turned off the rootless security.

PS: Your memory info is really cool. That's what I call an optimized OS!

I bit the bullet and installed El Capitan on my 2015 MBP. So far it is super fast with very little bugs/lags. I'm impressed. Can't wait to see how it'll get even better as more betas are released.

You're probably in the same boat I'm in ... are you only offered the Profile for 8.4 on the Beta site? That's my issue. Even cleared the cache in my browsers -- still stuck.

You're going to beta.apple.com/profile? Strange that it would do this ...

I seem to be one of the few who could actually redeem their code and got a message "Thank you, your file is downloading" without bothering with searching for it in Purchases. Probably helped that I didn't do it yesterday. Will be installing on an external drive so that curiosity doesn't kill a cat.

Trim was enabled on my 10.10.4 and the upgrade to 10.11 turned it off. I expected that Trim would be enabled by default? I had to run the command to enable it. :)

So I backed up my iPhone before I did any of the beta stuff, installed beta and decided to restore from my backup.. All it did was install iOS 9 again.. Ah well.

It also erased all my iCloud backups so good job I at least plugged it into iTunes..

I’m getting “Code redemption is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.” on the MAS. Anyone else?

Me, too. I'm trying since yesterday evening (Central European Time) and I always get this message (in my own language, of course). :( And no, it's not in the Purchased Tab. How could it be there, when the code can't be redeemed?

Same here. Apple completely ****ed up again. I would be ashamed.
