For those using the beta:

Have they fixed trimforce yet? Do you still have to turn off Rootless before you can do "sudo trimforce enable" without errors?

Is it such a big deal?

You only have to do it once, it stays enabled even after updating to the latest beta, mine already survived 2 beta updates.

It is a big deal when the final release arrives. There will be no easy "sudo nvram boot-args="rootless=0"" command since they're removing nvram boot-args (they said so during a developer keynote). You will have to reboot, hold Cmd+R to enter the Recovery Partition, go to the Utilities menu, Security Configuration, disable rootless, reboot to the full OS, run trimforce, reboot to the recovery partition, re-enable rootless, etc etc... Some people don't even have recovery partitions (it's not created by the installer on Core Storage or RAIDs). So yeah it's a big deal.

If you are running the public beta and your rootless is enabled, then please try "sudo trimforce disable". If it's still broken, it will just say that it cannot delete /System/Library/Extensions/AppleDataSetManagement.kext.

Back up on iTunes/Time Machine first, guys. Remember it's a 'Beta.'
Smart people will, many people won't. They'll soon be on forums and help sites across the internet desperately asking for help retrieving their supposedly important files that they neglected to back up. Happens constantly, and it really grinds my gears. There's a certain level of stupidity, up of which I will not put.

Seems to get snappier as time passes. LOVE the iCloud Drive app. LOVE the ability to do (multiple) attachments from it within Mail.

So tempted to get El Capitan on this machine. There are so many bugs fixed (or just design failures) that are annoying me for so long. But I promised myself to wait for the *.1 updates each this time (a lesson that previous experiences taught me).

Ios9......tell me the f*cking wifi is fixed. I'm eligible for upgrade when the "s" phones are released but if the ***** issues that never got fixed in ios8 aren't fixed I'm heading out. QC has been terrible.

Tip for people waiting to load the page for iOS9; you have to load the page on your iOS device.

I'm confused - beta.apple.com says check MAS if your device is already enrolled. It is and I am running the latest Yosemite public beta, but no updates for El Capitan show up in Updates. Any insights?

BTW for those who report that the choice to 'hide' Connect in Music and replace it with Playlists is gone in iOS 9...not on my 6+. Maybe it's because that's how I had it set when I did the update. Regardless, post update in the Music app I see Playlists, not Connect.

"Office for Mac will also be available as a one-time purchase in September."

THIS!!! Thank you, Microsoft, for listening to those of us who dont like the subcription model. Say what you will about MS, but they do listen to their customers, care about backwards compatability, and do seem very interested in innovating.

Ummm...wrong thread?

Windows 8.1 with the latest iTunes does no have the option to "control click" (as per Mac Instructions under preferences>Devices) to Archive my backup. I can't see ANY option to Archive my backup. Is this not necessary via Windows or am I missing something?

iOS 9 First impression: slow, laggy; applications fail to scale to screen properly upon launch. I'll wait to see if this is just an indexing issue since I just installed it.
UPDATE: after two hard resets, iOS 9 PB1 is running smoother. Less hangups and smoother graphics. Scaling is back to normal as well.
