This thread may get really confusing, I can see some people are mixing up what applies to iOS vs. El Cap...

No Watch OS 2.0 b3 is required for the watch to pair.

System Requirements

watchOS 2 beta supports iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 9 beta. iOS 9 beta software should be installed from the Apple Developer website using the latest released version of iTunes.
I don't think that was what he was asking, you can go ahead and install iOS9 Beta and your watch (1.01) will work just fine.

Ohhhh this beta version is veeeeery slow... Everything is so buggy. I don't remember a beta being so buggy actually. It reminds of my old Android little phone.

Really dislike the new typeface and the way the keyboard switches to lowercase keys

also:
News app missing from public beta

Annoyed the keys on the keyboard no longer "pop up" as you type

Actually I would like to try the beta software. My question is - once officially released I want to get off the beta cycle and start using the official released versions. Is this easily possible. And by easily I mean without re-installing everything?
I remember installing 10.10 on a partition, then not finding a way to install official releases. So I deleted the partition and installed it over Mavericks I had on my official partition.

I'll sit these out and allow the rest of you beta testers to see to it that Apple fixes the issues. Upon public release I don't want to have to deal with removing them. :)

I just installed the OS X beta on a 2012 MBA without any problems. It has 8 GB of RAM and the video memory went up to 1536MB (Intel 4000). Yosemite used 1024 MB only.

I cant wait to get home to install iOS 9 Beta 3. I think it will have a little issue since I have been testing betas. Apple finally release public betas to minimize the issue during the release. A soild OS.

Can anyone upload the .profile so that I can get it OTA? Beta.apple.com is really slow.

i keep getting this error when trying to install El Cap:

"OS X could not be installed on your computer. A mismatch between MBR and GPT partition maps is not supported with this operation. Quite the installer to restart your computer and try again."

I've already tried restarting 5 times and I still keep getting this error. Anyone in the same boat?

  1. Launch gdisk normally:

    sudo gdisk /dev/disk0

  2. Enter d to delete a GPT entry, and enter number 4 when it asks which one.

  3. Enter n to create a new GPT entry, and enter number 4 when it asks which one.

  4. Enter 879450112 as the first sector.

  5. Enter 976183295 as the last sector.

  6. Enter 0700 as the hex code.

  7. Enter w to save the changes, then y to confirm.
That should do it. If you need to stop and start over at any point, hit control+C.

Is the change in typeface that noticeable? What don't you like about it?

Here's a question, I enrolled with the iOS beta (and have the feedback app now) I then went to software update and it appears to have downloaded the beta, however when I hit install I get an error message (unable to install), so now I have a notification badge on my update but can't seem to install..... If I can never get it to install will the next iOS update just override it or do I have to find a way to remove it?
