One for each product at the event, but it seems like a waste of possible future designs. It shows how Apple can't decide on one thing anymore, although I'm sure it's to highlight the range of possibilities from the new iPads and Macs.

I think your latter prediction is more likely than the former. The iPad Pro as a "serious" tool in the creative process has recently gotten a lot of attention given Adobe's announcement and the increased use of the iPad Pro by artists and graphic designers. Creativity seems to be the theme in these logos more than anything!

Of course, that was my only true proposal for the meaning behind this. There will be collectively more significant Mac announcements than iPad announcements, so presumably it's just meant to symbolise the range of 'Pro' creative work carried out on both product lines. Having said that, we'll see a big focus on the iPad as a tool and Adobe will be prominent in that respect during the keynote.

Seriously.. if they put out a new iMac line, I’m gonna hang my self to a tree! I’ve just bought a 2018 Macbook Pro 13 inch.

Chances of mac mini? I'll be realistic and say I'm looking forward to being disappointed again.

The sketches make me think this will be iPad / pencil focus

Everyone's here talking about the logo and I'm wondering why the event will be held in New York. That's...rather unusual.

Makes me think they’ll be treating the Mac as an afterthought.

I remember reading an article years ago either here or on AppleInside saying that Apple has sold more iOS devices in like 5 or so years than its sold Macs in all of Apple's lifetime. In some ways, I can understand Apple focusing on iOS devices. On the other hand, we still need Macs to write the apps for iOS devices.

I bet these logos have been "designed" on the new ipad, and that they're a showcase of the new adobe tools for the ipad.

I wonder if Apple wants to wait until the Mac Mini 2014 model passes the 5 year mark before updating it?

Why stop at 5?
7 is considered lucky in America.
8 is considered lucky & magical in the more important market of China.
10 can be coolified if presented in roman Mac Mini X.
And we all now that 11 is one higher than 10 or X.

All ;) hopefully.

Thinning the wallet is the ultimate Apple thinning objective. All of us get the added bonus of being lighter too, once the last bits of cash are extracted... plus maybe a kidney. ;)

I’m calling it. Sign of a modular Mac. Apple never redesigns their logo.

They are artsy so clearly art and creation related. So iPad and accessories plus those rumored new classes et

Let me guess. They are gonna announce at the event that all these logos are created with the new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2.

Probably.

I predict an event HEAVILY focused on the iPad Pro and a new Apple Pencil and creativity using them.

Think? No, we know the Mac has been treated as an afterthought. What we're wondering is if Apple *might* have woken up a bit to put some renewed emphasis back on the Mac.

Even if there are new Macs, it will probably still be focused on the iPad or other such things (i.e.: Adobe demo).

I can understand an emphasis on your top selling product. But, to only be able to pull off one product line properly is just silly for a company of Apple's size. I think I also heard Ford sells more trucks than cars, but they seem to be able to handle dozens of different car and truck models.

If Apple were still 5 people in a garage, I could understand. At this point, it is either gross incompetence in terms of leadership (which doesn't seem all that likely), or it was intentional. If intentional.... are they course-correcting now, or just leading we Mac people along a bit longer?
