Why travel to NYC?

Wasn't the whole point of the new theater is so they do not have to travel...

Also since on EST time will all products be available??

I’m calling it. Sign of a modular Mac. Apple never redesigns their logo.

To me the message is "Illustrator on iPad Pro".
We got the Photoshop reveal a few days ago, but Adobe+Apple held back Illustrator for this event.

There’s more in the making! Just like our AirPower, after one year it’s still in the making.

It is a rather silly headline.

Really good question.

Remember when it was "just sad" that the average Windows PC was 5 years old?

I guess that was pre-'What's a computer?'

And if nothing of relevance is announced?
That will hit the value of APPL hard. The Shorters will be out in force hoping to make a huge killing.
Apple is going right into their back yard and in the middle of a trading day.
There had better be something of substence announced and I'm not talking about a MacBook Pro update. There has to be more, a lot more and a few emojii's won't cut it.

Driving to San Jose or San Francisco wasn’t exactly “traveling.” But presumably this is an content-creation event - new iPads with fancier pencils, Adobe CC demos, etc. NYC is much more representative of “art” and :”content creation” than Cupertino.

Awesome, I like it. I think this is going to be a great event.

Youre always so positive with Apple, such a contrast to so many in these forums :)

I used to be happy for Apple events until the "hello again" event. I was very excited about it, but then it turned out to be a huge disappointment.

Oh yeah, the ATV4 gaming demo was probably the first ever big disappointment for me, then the "hello again" event.

I don't even bother watching them anymore.

I predict an event HEAVILY focused on the iPad Pro and a new Apple Pencil and creativity using them.
Makes me think they’ll be treating the Mac as an afterthought.
You predict based on what? An Apple logo from the invite? I doubt very much Apple would hold an event just for iPad. Unless they plan for it to be a short event.

It doesn't really matter too much, even if that were to happen. As some have pointed out, Apple could run many years if they didn't make another dime. The price of their stock is rather irrelevant, aside from people who own their stock or maybe attracting talent (stock options).

And, if it does create a dip, it just creates a good time to buy in. Plus.... maybe Apple's new target market cares more about iPad and pencils than a lot of the stuff we long-time Apple users would like to see.

Heck, they could spend 30 minutes giving an Jony-overview of how they redesigned the new bagel emoji. They've done similar for the last several years of keynotes.

A new iPad, new pencil, emoji overview, Adobe demo... 1.5 hours easily. :)

I sure hope there is some other cool stuff, but I won't be getting excited until I actually see it these days.

which makes way more sense. These logos aren't something you'd necessarily create with PS but rather Illustrator (or a combination of the two)

Yea, that one didn't have much in it for me so I couldn't really get excited about it. The new iPad's look really great to me so that's why I am more excited about this one, more so than iPhone's.

Signifies:

1. Change and difference
2. Launch of the XR to show support of different colors
3. New Apple Pencil 2 launch
4. Most importantly PHOTOSHOP partnership!

Looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table - the A12X in action should be an especial treat!

This is obviously about some new pencil/drawing thing for the iPad Pro. Even though it was Steve Jobs who said the best stylus was your finger. But your finger is free and an Apple Pencil costs $100-200 (for new and improved of course).
