college/university

hey there, I was looking at the terms and conditions, and i was wondering, if it matters what college or university you attend or can it be any college or university

So... no MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air . . . until at least 14 days (Apple's return/exchange policy) after Sept. 8?

or not.

still I think it was really dumb of them to start the promo in May. I get that they were trying to give the grads a last catch but i'm sure they could have come up with a way to validate that someone just finished school. now they are going to have a ton of folks coming in swap computers, complaining about the open box fee, and some of them that will be outside of the 14 days etc.

Why was it dumb? That was the whole reason they did it. People outside the 14 day period can't return the computer and you can't return it anyway unless you also return the iPod/Printer. That's the nature of rebates.

yes but they set the stores up for a heck of a lot of folks complaining about the releasing of new computers on that particular timing. so now instead of having staff devoted to selling the new computers and new phones they will have chunks of the staff having to deal with pissed off customers, which is going to hurt that 'customer satisfaction' rating that they gained major. which could then turn into folks less inclined to buy Apple next time and so on

they are going to end up making a lot of exceptions to their policy to keep folks coming back and that's not good. had they just waited and covered the new grads by saying "bring in your college diploma before June 30th and still get the discount" they would have avoided a lot of grief. at least last time they did the new releases at the end of the period (if not shortly after the whole thing)

Well, as a slight bummer, I can not get the Apple store to work for me. In Canada, when I click which school I am attending, I get "The page you're looking for can't be found."

Any advice? It has been like this for over a week.

Order over the phone or call Apple and see what they say.
