so how many years before the 3d touch gets in most apps? every time something new comes along from apple it takes forever to be able to actually use it. ouch id is till only used by a few apps homekit still is not in use.

No reason to upgrade from my 6 plus. Nothing of wow factor personally imo. I can already see the tech support nightmares trying to teach older people how to use force touch. Anybody know if they kept the 1gb of ram?

So what's your gut feeling? My thought is that if Apple really did add 2GB of RAM, they would've announced it as an improvement. So, I hate to say, but I have a feeling it wasn't changed. :( Again, I could be wrong here.
When the iPhone 5 got a 1GB they didn't mention it. When the iPad Air 2 got 2GB and a tri-core chip, they didn't mention it. Apple never mentions their specs since for normal people they don't say anything. They want "x times faster" as a sentence, not "Has 3 cores and 2GB of RAM now". Us tech people have to wait on the benchmarks.

I feel it has 2 GB.

Did they really need 90% faster graphics? Probably for the Plus versions. The CPU being 70% faster is also a big jump. I was not expecting that kind of jump this year.

Apple always brings cred to S cycle adoptees for comebacks to smack talking non-S cycle trolls.

Same 1080p LED screen in the plus. Was hoping for a high resolution screen, especially now they included 4k video. Not everyone has a 4k TV so it would be good to be able to watch the high res videos.

Low res screen is lame enough but If it's only 1gb ram too... That's just bad

Someone at that event needs to get geek bench on a demo unit haha

Do you really think you'd be able to see the difference?

Looks great, good solid incremental update as always (not a criticism). Skipping this round though, only the (presumably) 2gb ram is something I crave. My phone doesn't need to be faster....it...needs.....more....ram.

Same battery life like the 6. Looks like a lot of the real estate saved went to the Taptic Engine module. The phone is also heavier by 14gm.

What is the advantage of having a force touch hardware vs a software based solution like holding longer?

My thoughts exactly!
Just makes the older models obsolete quicker, plus it's going to be really annoying switching to a non 3d touch iOS device like the iPad, really irritating in fact!

If we take a look at how Apple portrays the 3D touch tech, it looks more and more it's some form of OLED. If it is, I'm really curious as to why Apple didn't tell us about it.

Also looks like the 6S+ is the only one with OIS. Bummer, but somewhat expected. And is that a new Space Grey color I see?
space grey used in the Apple Watch and new iPod
