I thought that the separate name was a little strange too. I thought at first it meant there wasn't feedback, but then they showed it did...

There must be something different enough between them that they see them possibly being used differently in the future that they wanted it to be distinct.

I haven't usted and Apple Watch so Correct me if i'm wrong bit I believe you Only have the option to touch and fource touch on the Apple Watch, 2D. On the iPhone 6s you can touch, peek and touch harder flor a 3rd acción, 3D touch.

I wonder when / if the handset upgrade plan comes to uk? Would be nice to know before pre order.
Surely you're not serious? anything involving apple = cost. What you've got to remember is that the price displayed is excluding price of handset, much like 02 refresh & I'm sure other carriers offer, so to recap aprox £15-£25/mth locked to a 24th contract & I seem to remember you don't actually own the phone (could be wrong though!)
Compare that to a 12th contract on Voda, £389 upfront for a 128GB Plus, £60/mth with an obligatory 20% off for working in public service / one of their partners & you can upgrade after 9mths (& you own the phone / Sky / spotify free for 12mths) now that a deal, I've done it on the last 4!!

First of all: Shame on Apple for the 16Gb entry level iPhone 6s and for the misleading way they continue to use to announce iPhone prices.

For the rest of the keynote, there was an impressive amount of stuff there, but nothing that appeals to me: I don't want an Apple Watch (my 150,- Polar M400 has GPS and does all the fitness tracking I need; I don't want to be more "connected" than that...), the iPad Pro is too large and expensive (more intrigued by an HP Spectre), and I haven't owned a TV in 20 years (If I had one, even if it was only to watch rented movies, I'd have to pay an extra 3-figure annual tax for it).

In contrast, I'm very pleased with the announcement of the iPhone 6s, mainly because it leads to a drop in the price of the iPhone 6. I'm not interested in any of the iPhone 6s' new features: I don't need an incrementally faster phone; I'm not gaming on my phone, I think 3D Touch is a huge UI error; and packing ever more pixels in a device limited by the physics of its optic seems pointless to me (4K for a <1cm-wide device!!). But I'll happily buy an unlocked iPhone 6 (64Gb) for >120 EUR less than in the EU when I'll be stateside next week :)

I love Tim Cook's quote of " truly the most advanced iPhone" as opposed to what? I would hope it would be better than the last iPhone. Tim needs to bring the goods to gain some market share.

So it got thicker and heavier because of this gimmicky 3D touch thing and no battery life improvements (which is the most important thing to me)? i'm getting an Android phone

This looks like an amazing accomplishment by Apple chip team - how could A9 be 70 percent faster on CPU and up to 90 percent faster GPU performance than A8 – its nothing short of magic

****ing seriously, they are not releasing gold with a black face?

Wow, I am in shock. Such a bummer.

To be honest, I'm surprised too. It makes much more sense in my mind to have 2 black options and 2 white options. I feel the Rose Gold would have looked better with a black face.

Meanwhile in Australia.

After nearly 18 months with an Android phone, and the botched Lollipop software update from Vodafone UK, I'll be relieved to have an iPhone in my hands again. Waiting to see if the UK gets the annual upgrade scheme. Will have to wait though, as not out of contract for 7 months, and cannot upgrade for 4 months. Cannot come soon enough.
