If it didn't improve the public release they wouldn't do it. Kind of hard for you to say no one submits feedback either, especially since you don't work for Apple. Me and everyone I work with that is on public betas have at least 10-20 bug reports per beta. Can't argue the internal testing though, they're initial public release could be much better.
From the first beta, I go exploring through the OS, and find at least 30 throughout the entire process, and workarounds in some cases.

Just a few major points i have seen so far. Battery life on the 9.7 ipad pro is not great on beta 2. And I have also had issues connecting my phone to my VW bluetooth system. Automatically places a call to "my phone number" on the stereo but doesn't show up on the phone. The only way to stop it is to disconnect the phone from bluetooth connection to the car.
For those commenting on the watchOS beta, be glad that Apple doesn't do public betas on this one, the battery life on beta 2 on that is HORRIBLE. Drained completely in 8 hours. Going to try a reset and give it another shot, but anyone who has access should stay away from the second beta for watchOS 3 if you haven't loaded it already.
Agreed, watchOS 3 beta 2 is terrible on battery. Also, my Audi is having intermittent bluetooth issues with my phone.

It really isn't that hard, and if it improves the end product, I'm all for it.

Yes, they have. All you need to do is install the watch profile when you enrol your devices and then you can update to the beta from the Watch app in iOS.
That doesn't make it public though, technically it requires a developer account. I believe Apple charges to remove the watchOS beta should anything go wrong.

THIS. I'm having terrible static/distortion through CarPlay, but through Bluetooth on and off as well. Hope this is high on their list to fix.

Interesting, beta.apple.com gives you an option to download the Watch beta profile too. Didn't think they were gonna do public beta for watchOS 3

Are you talking about when you click the profile it asks if you want watch or phone? That is not the watchOS 3 profile. The only reason why you get the popup is because it sees your watch is connected.

It's an option of where to install the beta profile... you can install the phone beta profile on a watch - but it won't do anything for you...

I guess Apple really wants to catch those issues. Or, Apple is confident that they are getting a rock-solid OS, early on in development between releases's of OS's enough to try something 'different'

I like this theory, and do hope that it happens to be what they're doing. Tired of bug-filled final releases.

Downloading now.....4.86GB....ten minutes left.
[doublepost=1467914651][/doublepost]iOS 10 is out.......

finished installing - wow - this is one huge update to the OS its like a completely different phone - so far (for the two minutes of use) i LOVE it!!!!!! fantastic job Apple!!!

I'll do the iOS beta on my iPad which, while important to me, doesn't come close to being as important as my Mac or iPhone. Don't care nearly as much about that crashing as I do my iPhone for so many obvious reasons. Although I will say that, historically, these public betas have been pretty good! That is, unless I just jinxed it...:D

Have they fixed the error where users are getting locked out of their Apple ID if they have two factor auth enabled???

Also curious about this. I installed the profile but I'm holding off until more feedback, this is the most scared I've been to install a beta lol.

Will my apple watch still work fine with the iOS 10 public beta? Or is the new WatchOS3 required?

(I know there is no watchOS3 public beta at the time)

This is my concern as well. Last year we had real issues trying to run iOS 9 beta with the current release of WatchOS.

So tempted...

Can any of you discuss what some of the bugs are that I may experience if I were to download the ios10 beta to a daily-use iPhone 6s Plus (on sprint)?

If you have a lot of apps on your device you want to proceed very carefully. The developers are unable to update their apps to reflect iOS 10 yet (Normally the developers are allowed to update their apps on or after the September iPhone 7 launch day. So all of the iOS apps that are out currently are written with iOS 9 and earlier in mind. So many apps will not work with iOS 10 and the developers might not be able to fix the issues till iOS launch day.

All my apps are working that I use daily, but the overall interface is slowww. I'll try it for a few days, but I will probably go back to 9.

Hey you guys! I'm just downloading El Cap right now. I wanted to "wait until the bugs were sorted out." Ya know? I always wait until a .5 or .6 release. Cause that's just me! 'Ol Cautious Face. (Pro tip: when you're killing xenomorphs, you've gotta nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.)

Don't forget that your phone usually is slow for first day or so when first installing a new version of iOS... I think it has to do with indexing.
