WARNING: If you plan to install this on any device (primary or secondary) ensure that Two-Factor authentication is DISABLED and for the mean time use Two-Step authentication as some users are reporting that they have been locked out of their Apple account and Apple themselves can do nothing about it.

The security methods above are different and NOT the same!

I'm confused how you can be locked out of your account with two factor authentication when you have security questions/ recovery keys etc. How is the beta messing this up?

i wonder if those of us in the iOS 9 beta program will automatically get the 10 update - if i was apple i'd keep them separate.

I have no idea. Some people are getting various pop ups and when trying to reset their password, cannot proceed. I'll add a link to the original post.

Apple's public beta is really an alpha and Apple's first official production release is really a beta.

2FA does not use recovery keys or security questions. It uses a 6-digit code generated by a trusted device.

There are no bugs like that in iOS 10 b2. It's mostly minor annoyances. Hence why it's going public.

These are the annoyances that I get to deal with on DP2:

Well, unable to quit some apps - the Red X disappears and the only way is to force quit the app.
Some apps don't even start.
Suddenly I noticed hourly time machine backups are about 180Megs... which is odd.... :)
Using Siri causes randomly to loose sound.
OS Boots slower and takes a million years to shutdown.
Apps have some lag when starting.

If someone does productivity things or any critical work - it's a NO NO NO - mainly because of the risk of some apps not launching.
Otherwise I would say it's OK.

Lets see how this develops.

In the past DPs were more often than PBs - I am curious how they will roll out now.

So tempted...

Can any of you discuss what some of the bugs are that I may experience if I were to download the ios10 beta to a daily-use iPhone 6s Plus (on sprint)?

THANK YOU. Posts like this are much more informative than other people just saying "this beta is buggy af!"

Nothing yet....

:(

Oddly, I didn't see any sources in any of the articles showing where Apple announced that the betas would be released today. I hope we're not being trolled.

It could be that Apple just emailed/privately spoke with some journalists to tell them the news, but I still think it's odd.

Um, I meant iOS 10 beta 2. :p

As for Sierra, I've been using it since beta 1 and beta 1 was way worse for me. Since that Chrome bug was fixed that ate up all my RAM it's been mostly like El Cap.

Plex takes a while to open. I don't use Siri on either platform because she's useless for me. Xcode works at least.

Really surprised that they released it in this state as a public beta, as they're usually a little more polished (though obviously not as great as a main release). Bluetooth is having major issues with skipping, major battery drain etc.

It hasn't been released yet. Just because an article says something, doesn't make it true.

Well they haven't released anything yet... :(
