Actually, I think people will be more likely to pronounce it the way it was intended now. No one will want to pronounce it “ecs ess”

I dunno, in day to day use I’ve seen people say ‘ecs’ way more often than ‘ten’. Having another letter (S) added to it isn’t going to help.

The lack of details surrounding the leak is suspect though...

Just like when they got iOS 11 GM from a tipster and subsequently the Apple direct CDN leaked. Before apple closed the window on signing it the next day, or hours later.

someone/some people in this thread said its apple testing their video feed before the event, but how do we not see more? How is it only 9to5 saw it?

I’m still not convinced there will be an XS, it just makes me think Extra Small and I don’t think Apple would ever go with that.

Having said that, what do I know?

*Shrug*

I thought I was the only one to instantly think “extra small” when seeing XS ... I’m planning on getting the 6.5 inch screen and it just doesn’t sound right to call it Extra Small!

Should've waited with the X. I'm lining for the larger screen. Mistakes were made thiguh and ill live with it. Probably going another two years with this one.

I figured they’d keep the ‘S’ naming but it just doesn’t make sense. People to this day still call it the ‘X’ and not ‘10’ so slap an S on the end and now it looks like sizing chart? (i.e. XS vs XL).

That’s one complicated watch Face.

What a strange and not Apple like name. First is it XS or is it Xs? XS will encourage people to "miss-say" the name TEN s. Not to mention that XS= excess. Xs and Xs + make much more sense to me.
I agree, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Plus make more sense, and are closer to Apple's usual naming scheme. XS not only feels like a regression to the iPhone 3GS, the only one that officially had a capital S, but it also makes it harder to realize the X is actually the roman numeral for 10, and not the letter X.
