I don't understand why iPhone sizes need to be differentiated by name. Maybe Apple finally realized this.

All Apple Watches are "Apple Watches," no matter their size.

All MacBook Pros (or MacBooks, or MacBook Airs) are "MacBook Pros," no matter their size.

Apple should just call them "iPhones."

the Applewatch4 is the only truly interesting thing out of this leak imo

and even then, apple has gotten BTFO harder with leaks. Just last year, the iOS 11 GM leak rekt all the software reveals.

iOS 11 GM leak I'd genuinely put in the same league as the Gizmodo-Iphone 4 episode, in terms of a colossal mess up.

Apple typically gives all of its iPhones unique names, but the company was said to be struggling with a naming scheme for this year's devices.

I find it funny that with everything that goes into making the products that Apple sells, they struggled with the naming scheme. Isn't this something that should have been figured out before settling on the iPhone X name? I think its safe to say there is some sort of vetting process when coming up with a product name, and it shouldn't be to far-fetched that figuring out how to name a products predecessors would be one of topics.

I've never seen a day where we get cryptical clear full color marketing photos (and allegedly videos) for multiple Apple products lines two weeks before they're unveiled.

When/if the video leaks, I'd agree its kind of a big deal. They'll surely have to change the promotional footage if the cats actually out of the bag?

But marketing photos isn't that much crazier than glyphs discovered in beta firmwares (imo).

I think the stock wallpapers leaking for iOS 11 GM before reveal last year was equally the same magnitude of a 'big' or 'small' deal

All of the leaks, etc., have made it look like there will be smaller bezels on the new Xs models compared to the X, but nobody has said anything about it. Has there been any information pointing to this?

I was wondering the same thing. That leaked front panel (supposedly) for 5.8 2018 iPhone showed slimmer bezels, but I also read somewhere about dimensions being the same as lasts year X... They seem a bit smaller on this photo but I can’t be sure.

I bet heads are rolling in Apple HQ. There’s no way Apple intentionally leaked anything. They want to control the marketing message entirely. This totally disrupts their ability to control their story. Don’t fall for the usual conspiracy theory.

Now, for us as people interested in Apple... this is awesome. Always great to see what’s coming and the premature leak doesn’t affect my choices.
