Can someone explain to me the whole coconut oil thing? Like, lets spend £1000 on a phone, £59 on a leather case but not spend £5-10 to get some leather conditioner to put on your newly sandpapered leather?

Called impatience 😂 some just want that patina effect straight away, some have come out looking decent, while others look like a total train wreck. 🤦♂️😂

Found this on YouTube and the saddle brown seems to have aged quite nice. Maybe the lighting... idk but it looks good
Must be it. I keep my hands super clean and my case still looks new after 2 months.

Thats exactly how mine looks indoors. Seems like we both have dirty hands! LOL
Mine looks exactly the same, strange how the sides are getting darker but not the back, leather cases this year seem to be getting darker only on the sides.
I decided to get the green leather case for my space gray 11pm and it's such a sick combo. Also I believe I got a perfect case this time, super clicky buttons, nice tight fit, very grippy and very nice unique grain. And a nice bonus that all four corners are raised so the case lip goes higher than the screen protector. Sweet case, way nicer than my red one ever was
The forest green for XS or 11 series is one of the beautiful leather case in Apple leather cases’ history in my opinion.
This color is gorgeos. It's just amazing how nice it looks and all the different shades of green and blue it shows. And the shine 😩

did you put any leather balm, conditioner, etc on the case? it looks...raw
Here is my case after sanding it down with a chainsaw, boiling it in coconut oil, dragging it behind a car for 3 days, and using horse conditioner on it.
In all seriousness, anyone recommend a decent conditioner? The sides on my brown leather case have a nice patina but that back still looks pretty Stock.

I wouldn’t put anything on it but your oily hands. Time is the best conditioner.
Unless alcohol is used in the process of stripping. The alcohol will remove the natural oils from the leather, making it more prone to damage.
I use beeswax or bear grease and tallow on the leather items that I make.
This is why I went with black this year. I’ve always been a midnight blue guy but just couldn’t settle with the Baltic.
