Finally, some real news!!
Your camera doesn't have a WiFi transfer?
Your camera doesn't have a WiFi transfer?
wutnice plug there Macrumors lol
wutanyways - no virtua reality no care
If you buy the new iPhone 7 and have their new lightning port headphones. You will need a Lightning to USB-C adapter to use their new products together. The adapter they provide with iPhone 7 wont work; you will require an additional adapter.natively.
What they really needed to do was to retire Lightning in favour of USB-C.. But that would require.. courage?![]()
As jazzed as I am about this, if Apple doesn't include an SD card slot on the new MBP, I'll be at a loss of words. MacBook Pro. Without an SD card slot. I'm not about to buy a dongle just to get pictures and videos from my camera onto my laptop. Come on.
Gurman and Ming Chi Kuo have said all along that it'll happen in October, so I will be quite surprised if nothing happens.
I am curious if Apple will kill the Mac Pro and Mac Mini. I can see them saying that because nobody purchases those anymore (due to the lack of updates.. Apple), then that is the reason why they will stop shipping those products.
Has anyone heard anything about the pricing of the new MBPs? I'm hoping they're the same as the current models, but I'm afraid the new features may result in a price increase.
Most professional DSLRs don't and most protogs and videographers would use the card reader - if they use SD and not CF cards. It would be really silly not to include it.
WiFi transfer on DSLRs (at least Nikons) is horrible. You have to setup the camera as a WiFi hotspot, change your laptops WiFi connection to the camera (where you can access only the camera), and then actually transferring the photos is super slow.
It would be amazing if prosumer DSLRs had better support for transferring and/or shooting directly to a laptop/phone, but they don't seem to right now.
That said, I don't see much benefit to having a SD card slot over just connecting a USB cable from your camera to your laptop.
But will they have an nvidia graphics chip on board...
