Going to be bunch crap if ask me. 4 USB-C and 3.5 headphone jack, as pictured above.

If you buy the new iPhone 7 and have their new lightning port headphones. You will need a Lightning to USB-C adapter to use their new products together. The adapter they provide with iPhone 7 wont work; you will require an additional adapter.

WTF? If you release two new products in same year and only months apart they both need to support the same technologies.

Not to mention we will be required to sync iPhone via WiFI and unable to plug phones into MBP to charge natively.

Your camera doesn't have a WiFi transfer?

WiFi transfer on DSLRs (at least Nikons) is horrible. You have to setup the camera as a WiFi hotspot, change your laptops WiFi connection to the camera (where you can access only the camera), and then actually transferring the photos is super slow.

It would be amazing if prosumer DSLRs had better support for transferring and/or shooting directly to a laptop/phone, but they don't seem to right now.

That said, I don't see much benefit to having a SD card slot over just connecting a USB cable from your camera to your laptop.

What they really needed to do was to retire Lightning in favour of USB-C.. But that would require.. courage? :)

I'm very upset that articles like these gets posted here. This takes much needed attention away from the iPhone 7. Speaking of which, can we please get back to talking about the iPhone 9 Pro+ rumors? Freaking Macintosh rumors on a MacRumors site. What is the world coming to? Psssshhh. /s

As jazzed as I am about this, if Apple doesn't include an SD card slot on the new MBP, I'll be at a loss of words. MacBook Pro. Without an SD card slot. I'm not about to buy a dongle just to get pictures and videos from my camera onto my laptop. Come on.

I understand the consumer need for an SD slot, I really do. But what about us pros that use the MBP? It is not going to have a CFast slot or a CF slot which is all I use. So get up for it, you will probably need to carry an SD reader...

Gurman and Ming Chi Kuo have said all along that it'll happen in October, so I will be quite surprised if nothing happens.

Ming Chi Kup is legendary! If I ever see that man, I want to shake his hand and buy him a beer.

I am curious if Apple will kill the Mac Pro and Mac Mini. I can see them saying that because nobody purchases those anymore (due to the lack of updates.. Apple), then that is the reason why they will stop shipping those products.

<snipped> Response to wrong post.

Most professional DSLRs don't and most protogs and videographers would use the card reader - if they use SD and not CF cards. It would be really silly not to include it.

Move over to Sony and don't look back...
