Sony will get a stripped down version of Leopard to run on PS3 and in return, Apple will get exclusive compatability with all PS2 and upcoming PS3 titles.
win win win.
imagine the ps3 being the missing link in the mac os media center. It will be able to record, download and playback tv and web content on your bigscreen as well as play ps3 games, blueray movies and streaming content from your mac or ipod.
Or not, it's already been addressed by Sony saying "it was a mistake", and we worked out that it was an Apple package used, not just a logo.
Apple machines won't be able to run PS3 games anyway, unless Apple machines go backwards to PowerPC with the PS3's Cell CPU. The PS3 cannot record/playback TV either. There is no TV input or any form of video input.
