Definitely my favorite commercial ever.
It just has to much meaning behind it.

I know that all PC lovers hate Mac commercials, but I gotta be honest, out of all modern ads that I see on tv, online, and even billboards, Apple really does do a great job.

They somehow always manage to stay original. Even with the white background and all this sort of plain stuff, it just ends up looking good every time.

Actually, I love the plainness of their ads. It really lets you focus on the product, not what's going on in the background.

mlk=trouble maker?

did anybody notice when the narrator said "trouble makers" while mlk was giving a speech, seems kinda racist, if i were a black person, but i'm not black, so what do you think?

Well, honestly, I think you must either be racist, or overly obsessed with racism to even think of this.

Let racism go! Let's all move on!

I like the Get a Mac adds, because they are obviously amusing. This "Think Different" ad is not really specific if it's supposed to be serious or not.

I hate the multicoloured apple logo, and am happy it's gone. The grey or white apple is so much more modern, and less LSD-ish.

I think you're an idiot.

MLK was a trouble maker. If you know anything about history, you'd know MLK lived in a world where there was such a thing as Black people water fountains or where black people had to sit on the back of the bus.

MLK was proning that such things should not exist. In the eye of the established order, he was very much a trouble maker. A pacific, enlightened trouble maker.

Once upon a time, direct personal insults like this would get one a timeout or banishment from the boards.

(I got a 7 day timeout once for saying "You are slime" to a member who said he was going to install a new version of OSX on all of his systems from one license, since Apple doesn't check. Wouldn't even get the family pack.)

Yeah, but he asked us what we were thinking about his comment. So it wasn't gratuitous. I could've replied with a more politically correct : "I think your comment is made up of 10% gibberish, 15% flamebait and 75% willful ignorance. Your very existance serves only to reduce the average intellect of your country of residence and is a great display of human fallibility."

But then he probably wouldn't have understood.

"Think Different" remains one of my favourite marketing campaigns of all time, and is certainly Apple's best full-fledged campaign. "Switch" and "Get a Mac" are absolutely lame in comparison...

Launching a revolutionary new tablet and a new "Think Different" campaign? I'd love to see that...

Firing the Dell dude was the biggest mistake ever and evidence they do not understand their demographic.

A large fraction of Wintel users smoke joints. The persona the Dell dude employed "implied same". To fire him for living the lifestyle was the biggest marketing error this decade.

He should sue.
