This Must Have Happened!

And nobody will ever find it because it looks exactly like an iPhone 4. So whoever has it, probably doesn't realize they have the latest, greatest. They think they found a free iPhone 4, which is still f-n sweet.

Facepalms all around, right?

But now everyone's begging for pics. It's the talk of the town, and it's not even released yet.

I don't see anyone trying to counterfeit Samsung or Moto gear.

The iPhone is *the* device to have and which garners all the publicity. Every competing device (and some which prima facie are not) and the kitchen sink is compared to it, measured against it.

Samsung loses their stuff in a bar. Nothing happens. Apple does it, and everyone is all over it. It rules the news and gives rise to all kinds of breathless speculation until release.

Do you really believe this or do you just post to get a rise out of people?

this looks like BS, smells like BS; plain old marketing for the bar...
IF apple didn't press charges, the police cannot open an investigation on a person and ask to search the premises. They need to have enough proof to warrant a search and if there was no police report no searches for anybody can be made. Then the advertising writing style for the bar and the 0 evidence of it being there in the first place. There is no police paperwork then fake article.

Best to sell to a company that manufactures iphone add-ons. That would get you more money and in less trouble than selling to gizmodo. If that's the case they will keep their mouth shut as to not alert the competition

apple's behavior continues to reaffirm their militant attitude and behavior. It has become what it mocked in the famous 1984 commercial, anyone who disagrees is a fanboi.

What are Apple Field Testing employees doing out there with their assigned phones? Testing to see how far they can leave the prototype on the table before someone snatches it up for themselves? I mean really --- you are so busy ordering your carnitas tapas; sipping on Patron margaritas that you don't notice the stupe walking away with your device?

This has to be staged by Apple to send out fakes to throw off the media masses.

I'm sorry but despite what you might think, Redwood City is quite dissimilar from San Francisco.

Gourmet Haus Staudt would be more accurately described as a beer garden, not a bar.

You tell em! Cuz that's what this thread is about, Redwood City vs San Francisco.

Either Apple is being retarded or they just did that to get a reaction out of us.
In any case, WTF? why can't they use FIND MY IPHONE?!!!! I was wondering what FIND MY IPhone is all about?

apple cant use find my iphone eh?

I were those Apple employees, I would've told the iPhone to start beeping right before I came in! But I'm sure they thought of that :p

In any case, you'd think they wouldn't even let the testers use iPhones in crowded, public spaces. Sure, take it around. Keep it in a briefcase take it out inside buildings, in an FBI van, or in a secluded outdoor location. Then put it back inside!

But don't put it in your jeans pocket when you go to a bar... What quality assurance function does that perform? Moisture testing?

New Corporate policy: No bar visits for employees.

From here on out, apple will only hire straight edge people.

That's what happens when you have a company filled with heavily overworked late 20's early 30's employees. When they get out to play, they play hard. And then they lose the priceless prototypes they've had in their pockets for 4 months. :p
