The UK continues to be the laughing stock of the EU. Such an infintile outcome.
The Crown Jewels used to be something. Now they're located under the bombastic Judge's belt line.

Pathetic.

You mean because our courts don't bend over to the US anymore. Our female ministers have more balls than the entire US senate?

That's the difference, we couldn't care less. We don't take ourselves seriously. It's called a sense of humour. Get one, it'll help.

I'm waiting the day when Apple will provide pressure-sensitive pen support for its iDevices. Will Samsung sue Apple?
Does it matter? Apple will constantly sue Samsung every time they make a new products.

Samsung makes a new fridge, apple sues samsung for using a round square corner shape on their fridge.

Read that again, NORTH AMERICA. Canada, United States, Mexico. That's a good quarter of the world right there.

Can you point to any source because the only place where is said that 40% of teenagers own iPhone is in a 7.700 online survey of USA teenagers made by Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray.

Is this a troll comment designed to entice hatred toward your country and invite verbal attacks against it and yourself on here?

Because it damn well reads like it you bloody nationalist!

Hmm lets see, America, a great judicial system based on suing and money grabbing, corruption is ripe as is a complete lack of any common sense.

Didn't someone sue McDonalds because their hot coffee burnt them whilst they were holding it and driving?
Yeap sums it up.

Stop being such a fanboy, lay of the coolaide, realise Apple deserved to lose and the UK is by far not the only country it has lost in.

Unless you want us Brits to really lay into America and it's culture and people? Plenty to pick on if you want to go there.

And this is why the rest of the world sees American's as they do. You really don't portray yourself in a good light.

I could care less. It's an Infantile Ruling. Legal Rulings such as these only reinforce the comic nature of the legal entities involved.

How's that move toward letting Scotland have it's independence going?

Feeling Nationalistic over it? ;)

Hurrduurrr Amuurika fu**yeah! Apple is the best!

Seriously, the only place where Apple managed to win their ridiculous lawsuits against Samsung is in USA.

Japan? Apple lost. Germany? Apple lost. Australia? Apple lost. Now UK? Apple lost.

People outside of America aren't stupid enough to fall for apple's ridiculously stupid claims against Samsung.

I've never heard of a company being forced by a judge to publish notices that another company didn't rip off their designs. That, to me, doesn't seem like the sort of thing that should be within a judges power.

The situation is a little different. Apple is going around screaming everyone has ripped them off, has made it a part of their marketing, and is publicly suing everyone who makes a design even superficially similar to something of theirs.

In a way, you could say it's somewhat equivalent to corporate slander, specially now that Samsung has been found to be not guilty of infringing on Apple's patents and designs. The "they didn't copy us" is like a forced public apology.

This seems ludicrous to me. Companies get their reputations damaged all of the time by other companies or individuals. I'm not saying it's right, but it seems to be the way of the world. I've never heard of a company being forced by a judge to publish notices that another company didn't rip off their designs. That, to me, doesn't seem like the sort of thing that should be within a judges power.

Maybe because you don't understand why they are being ordered to do so.

You see - in the UK, Apple didn't win an injunction or suit which indicted Samsung for infringement. Yet right after they (Apple) lost - they presented themselves as having done so. Basically mocking the courts verdict. Judges, in general, don't like to be contradicted. That goes for here in the US - but especially in foreign countries - and by an American company.

Oh and the farsical trial in America was REALLY unbiased was it? With a corrupt head Jury who stated he would protect Apple's patents like they were his own, who misdirected the rest of the jury to a false outcome, the judge refusing admittance of crucial evidence. Oh yeah, don't ever make a black or white device because Apple own those colours

Yes the American patent office is so wonderful isn't it.

Mate, Glideslope, I will refrain from making any sweeping (generalised) claims about where you are from because surely what you have said is just your own opinion and not the shared opinion of the people in your community.

I hope you're not an Aussie. What you have said is really embarrassing.

I think the real point here is that this hurts for both of the companies. Being told your product isn't a copy of another product simply because it's "not as cool" and "far more cluttered" (yes I know there is more) is really not something I would be happy about and I'm sure Samsung feels that way too

I've no idea why? No doubt like the majority in Wales they will vote against it. But thanks for you concern but I'm sorry to burst your American ideologies, but it won't mean a 40 foot wall heavily guarded by missile barriers and troops and UAV's etc.

I highly suggest you refrain from continuing down this path as it will only lead to you getting reported. Nuff said :)

I think the ultimate message here is - some courts are simply not going to tolerate B.S. patent lawsuits

The ruling wasn't based on the 'cool factor' of the devices and the wording of the advert will either be dictated by the court or approved by them before print. It will be an apology against Samsung and will do Apple some harm I think, hence the whole point of the punishment. Those publications targeted have millions of readership.

The actual wording isn't "damning" - but here it is:

I for one totally agree with the apology adds since apple's ridiculous lawsuit claim tarnished samsung's reputation falsely. Hope this puts a little stop for patent wars since actual consequences are being handed.

I guess justice does exist in the world of business.

You guys are a blast. Always reinforcing. Thanks Mate.

Can't wait for Apple to tell the world (uk) they screwed up! This is exciting! Hey and when is the SGIII going to be banned from the US again? Cause I still see it :D I don't know why this bring me so much joy! I mean I hate Samsung and I love Apple. It could be the fact that everyone has an iPhone and they don't know anything about it but they just buy it to say they have it. So that might be it... I don't like posers

How the hell do you appeal something that's already been appealed? Just because apple don't like the verdict doesn't mean they can constantly appeal to the lawsuit that they started.

lol. apple being treated like the childish company that they are?

STOP LIKING WHAT WE DON'T LIKE!
