Yeah, much more racist than the slave-owning Presidents or Drumpf, who never misses an opportunity to let minorities know how much he cares for them and tries to see how we can better their communities. You know, he's taken steps like dumping on the NFL for protesting police violence, insulted a soldier's widow, claimed some white supremacists were "very fine people", never misses a chance to insult Chicago, even if what he's saying are facts he pulled out of his clueless, orange ass.

Trump supporters who turn a blind eye to his very overt dog whistles (really, they should be called air horns, because they aren't that discreet or silent) but think Obama was some massive racist are living in some bizzaro universe.

No, not if its a garbage proposition, of which you named zero.

Let me leave this right here for ya to absorb and then defend/deny:

Why are Americans always fighting over politics and which party is better? Is it cuz there’s only two? Makes it easier to fight?

I personally could not give to hoots about ours for instance. I dont treat it like a personal attack

Judging history through today's lens is idiotic.

First of all, I don't appreciate personal attacks calling me an idiot.

Secondly, I'm not using "today's lens":
  1. A few countries/kingdoms/entities around the world had banned slavery as far back as ancient and medieval times.
  2. Many European countries around the world had banned slavery just prior to, but in the same historical era, as these 12 people owning slaves, including England.
  3. In the US itself, slavery was controversial at the time.
  4. Some of the 12 owners themselves even believed it was wrong, or that the practice had to end, with one even believing it was outright evil.
So claiming "today's lens" is a bunch of ignorant BS.

Gonna be re-thinking my Netflix subscription now.
No you’re not. You think you’re making some kind of big statement, but all you did is show the world how narrow minded you are. You’re probably all about free speech but if a company makes a documentary you don’t like, it’s time to whine.

Obama is the worst president in modern history. Let his own words on the national debt show how he was all talk and no show:

"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents - #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back -- $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That's irresponsible. It's unpatriotic."

"Today I'm pledging to cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term in office," Obama said. "Now, this will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we've long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay, and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control."

TLDR: Oblama says adding $4 trillion to the national debt is irresponsible and unpatriotic. Obuma promises to cut debt in half in his first term. Then proceeds to ADD $9 TRILLION to the debt leaving our children enslaved to his incompetence for generations on end.

You don’t understand the difference between debt and the deficit.

You Americans do have a flair for drama. "The worst president in history." Hilarious. And the current one is the best in history I assume. Let history decide about that when the consequences of all the corruption, money grabbing, deregulating and incompetence of Trump Land is fully visible.

Yea we're drama queens and it seems to be getting worse but I imagine we'll get over it soon enough.

===

Unless these show's are light hearted I can't imagine watching them Obama could be a bit preachy.

If he is a racist it must have been a change in later life. In fact it oddly must have happened precisely when he ran for president.

Personally, I think you're exaggerating.

Though Abraham Lincoln indeed was racist, he struggled with that all of his life, rather than having a complete / blindly stubborn stance against black people. His stance on African-Americans changed as he got to know them better. None of this is to say "he loved black people", nah, he didn't. His stance on slavery was simply that people should earn their fair share regardless of race. Though he indeed was a white supremacist, his openness to change and ability to see black people beyond the social biases he was taught, proved him to be on the lighter side of "supremacy".

We’ll let Honest Abe speak for himself. There are plenty of such quotes. He never repudiated any of this. Imaging him to not be an arch racist until the end is just that, imagining. There is no evidence of it.

‘I am not, nor have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races.’

‘There is a natural disgust in the minds of nearly all white people to the idea of indiscriminate amalgamation of the white and black races.’

The two-party system is absolutely hilarious and terrifying at the same time. This whole good me vs bad them mentality is INSANE. Look at you, grown men and women acting like a bunch of kids.

Let me tell you a secret.
Obama was a crazy socialist who didn't even try to reduce your massive debt, spent money he didn't even have, and got thousands of people killed. Trump, being mentally stuck in the 16th century and thinking mercantilism is the hottest **** ever, is currently trying to start a full blown trade war, which is the only kind of war where everyone loses.

Your politicians suck. Hard. Your economy has been one step away from "Suck. Hard." for the last ten years or so.

Now, you tell me, if a good old white kid had brought this to school, you really think it would be seen as a bomb?

Hell yea. That thing looks exactly like what tv shows depict as bombs. I don’t blame anyone for being confused on that. I blame their reactions after he explained what he made but it’s easy to understand their initial fear.

He's got a track record of racism, many of us outside of the NYC area were just ignorant to it. But he really pulled out the dog whistles when he became the spokesman for the gang of morons who peddled the birther issue.

Either you didn't read what I wrote, or you're so busy projecting your biases that you cannot comprehend. I said he was racist, I just said he was open to change ... which excludes him from an extremist (therefore you are exaggerating).

-- edit --

The second quote you used, from his same speech, can be attributed as a statement of observation. It can be said by someone who isn't racist. However, he indeed was racist ... you're just exaggerating. So I'm not saying you're wrong for calling him racist, I'm merely saying you're attempting to make him out to be an extremist when he wasn't.

https://www.thebalance.com/us-debt-by-president-by-dollar-and-percent-3306296

George W. Bush: Added $5.849 trillion, a 101 percent increase from the $5.8 trillion debt at the end of Clinton's last budget, FY 2001.

No outrage from republicans.....

Barack Obama: Added $8.588 trillion, a 74 percent increase from the $11.657 trillion debt at the end of Bush’s last budget, FY 2009.

OUTRAGE!!!! OBAMA IS THE WORST EVER!!!!

Donald Trump (as projected in FY 2019 budget): Plans to add $8.282 trillion, a 41 percent increase from the $20.245 trillion debt at the end of Obama's last budget, FY 2017. If he spends as he hopes, Trump will add the second-highest dollar amount in history. More important, he will add almost as much in his first term as Obama did in two terms.

  • FY 2021 - $1.119 trillion.
  • FY 2020 - $1,198 trillion.
  • FY 2019 - $1.225 trillion.
  • FY 2018 - $1.233 trillion.
Republicans: debt don't matter stupid *******s..

TLDR: Debt under republicans is ok and healthy for America, debt under democrat is ANTI-AMERICAN!!!

Now, you tell me, if a good old white kid had brought this to school, you really think it would be seen as a bomb?

.... Yes.

As I recall, his whole family is in trouble for pulling politically charged stunts like this all the time. The kid disassembles a clock, stuffs it's components in a box, wraps cables around it, makes it look as conspicuous as possible, even after being told not to do that and bring it to school, and the whole world is up in arms when the problems that the kid and his moron parents set out to cause actually happens.

And people buy this crap like it's racism.

And then he gets to go to the White House for all that oppression he suffered.

Unbelievable.

And there's people on this thread pretending that the former president isn't a race baiter, by encouraging all this "look at me, I'm an oppressed little muslim" nonsense.

I wonder how many muslim kids didn't bring an effing bomb clock to school that day, and didn't get arrested? Bunch of racists though. Just lookin for an excuse.

How can a productive discussion even be had anymore? It's crazy how narrow minded people are.

While I'm not disagreeing with you, it's sad that so many people turn away from politics. Why isn't there a movement to start a new party? You're not stuck with 2 parties forever you know.

You Americans do have a flair for drama. "The worst president in history." Hilarious. And the current one is the best in history I assume. Let history decide about that when the consequences of all the corruption, money grabbing, deregulating and incompetence of Trump Land is fully visible.

There have been several attempts at forming third parties. It’s really, reallt difficult. It takes an insane amount of money and most people with that kind of money have already bought off politicians in one of the two existing parties. I have been wondering over the past year if it would be possible to croudfund a third “centrist” party but I don’t have the time to be the guy to make it happen and I don’t know that it could really make the difference people want. Until Americans learn to think for themselves and scrutinize the info we are fed by the media (right or left leaning) there is no point in offering better politicians. They won’t get elected because people are too ignorant about the issues they are voting on.
