One might settle because it is cheaper. He may well have discriminated. If he did I imagine it was more because it was good for business. In other words his customers wanted it. I think that more likely. Trump is a man who likes to make money and doesn’t have many scruples about how he makes it.

Anyway, that is the only real claim I’ve ever seen. It is one instance from a long time ago when the culture was different. It was after this that Jesse Jackson gave him an award. So Jesse didn’t think this made him a racist for life.

Well, there’s also the fact that he called white supremacists “very fine people” just last year and claimed that a judge whose family was of Mexican heritage wasn’t able to fulfill his duty to act impartially solely due to his ethnic background, if we want to start looking for more recent evidence.

This all won't matter. He'll be in jail once we find out he's been having his F.B.I. and C.I.A. spy on the Trump Campaign. Watergate? That was like passing notes in class amongst 5th graders compared to his Presidency.

First of all, I don't appreciate personal attacks calling me an idiot.

Secondly, I'm not using "today's lens":
  1. A few countries/kingdoms/entities around the world had banned slavery as far back as ancient and medieval times.
  2. Many European countries around the world had banned slavery just prior to, but in the same historical era, as these 12 people owning slaves, including England.
  3. In the US itself, slavery was controversial at the time.
  4. Some of the 12 owners themselves even believed it was wrong, or that the practice had to end, with one even believing it was outright evil.
So claiming "today's lens" is a bunch of ignorant BS.
Again, judging history through today's lens is idiotic. You're missing my point.

Why is that?

Because party politicians are beyond boring and shallow as hell?

Any network that wastes money on that kind of drivel, could be spending it on something involving robots or lasers. Pols are ticks, at least the people who program the SFX are useful to society and culture.

If you have a perpetual memebership to any of these streaming services, you’re doing it wrong. Stranger Things won’t be back for a while, probably can safely cancel Netflix, until season 3, then binge for a month and cancel again. Just keep moving that 10-15 bucks a month to where the content is freshest.

No I'm referring to the artist who painted a scene of white people being beheaded and glorified, sorry we see two different movies.

And being pals with Farrakhan, an open Anti-Semite, that was withheld from being released until now.. I wonder why

Great avatar. I see Trump lives rent free in your brain too!

Ted Nugent is an anti-Semite but i won't hold my breath waiting for you to condemn and attack Trump the way you attack Obama

Again, another whataboutism

Obama is the subject of this thread

Seeing as how you can’t defend obama successfully, you go on the offense

I know how these things work

Again, the beheading was a painting of a scene from the Bible. What is wrong with that?

Here’s Rubens’ version.

Actually a far more accurate comparison to Watergate would be if a candidate asked Russia to cyber attack his opponent and then Russia did exactly that and helped his campaign...

Who is gonna prosecute that? Come on man. I believe he was shady and corrupt but no. No one is going to prosecute an ex US president. It just won’t happen.

No he didn’t. He said some people at the march were fine people. He was referring to the non white supremacists. He also said there were fine people on the other side. Not all were but I’m sure some were.

The judge in question was a member of a racist organization. One should question and even doubt his impartiality.

So what you're saying is that some of it is racist which would at bare minimum establish a pattern of racism...thanks for proving my point.

No, I’m saying the list is so silly that it isn’t worth adressing.

A track record that has no evidence. One doesn’t have to be racist to think it possible Obama was not a natural born citizen. That is unless criticizing Obama equals racism. It doesn’t of course.

Criticizing Obama isn't racist. Making up a conspiracy theory to blow dog whistles to your base is, however.

And there's plenty of evidence. How about calling for the death of teenagers who were people of color, then refusing to recant, apologize or admit you were wrong when they were proven innocent and released, having spent all of their adult lives to that point in prison?

How about his housing discrimination lawsuits?

The problem with not thinking Obama is a natural born citizen is that its wrong, ignorant, moronic and not rooted in reality. Now, I can choose to believe people who think he wasn't born here are all of those things, but to me, there's a more likely explanation.

Do you have ANY evidence trump did that? Please share? The FBI would love to see it.

To be fair, obama could have ended that debate in a day by releasing his birth certificate much sooner. He was being a stubborn person and it didn’t benefit anyone. There was no reason to hide it.

Sorry just of of curiosity what kind of "fine people" march along side Nazis screaming for the elimination of jews and a white supremacists advocating for a race war? If you're standing next to, are with, or marching along side Klansmen and Nazis it's pretty simple...you're not a fine person.

he never repudiated those sentiments.

In the speech you quoted, he actually made statements against black people voting, and their right to hold office. Before he died he believed black people should be allowed to vote after-all, and thus he repudiated his statement. Abraham's racism was based on social influence, being raised in a racist and segregated society. His beliefs were based purely on ignorance, he believed the narrative he was told, that black people aren't intelligent. Thus his stance on voting and other things were founded on (in essence) "they're not intelligent enough to be given the responsibility of voting."

But despite what he was taught, he was still willing to get to know black people, and as he met intelligent black people (like Frederick Douglass, which he was actually good friends with) ... they showed him how ignorant he was, as his views changed. This isn't to say "he wanted races to marry." Or any such thing. Yes, that is still racist ... but isn't as extreme as you're attempting to make it out to be. Many races don't believe that people should marry outside of their race, black people included. It is very common in our urban community (which I am a part of) that black women get upset when black men date or marry white women.

Of course that is racist, but it's not so extreme that it should be assumed as general hate of a race. Lincoln's friendships proved the absence of his extremism. He was just ignorant and stated what he perceived to be logical at the time.

A). Which of these people are the “very fine” ones?

B). Judge Curiel diodn’t belong to any racist organizations.

Well if we are going to be uncharitable we can imagine people to be all sorts of things.

Lots of people showed up for different reasons, such as preserving history. Just because Nazis show up doesn’t mean you can’t carry on supporting preserving history. Otherwise Nazis could show up to any event and we could then dismiss everyone there as marching along side Nazis.
