Unfortunately it's not. On an island, this would probably not have happened. And anyway... I'd have already spilled blood :D
 
I have just had it confirmed by a mate, who's brothers best pal, knows a guy, who lives next door to this girl who is seeing a chap who once worked at an Apple Store.

The MacBooks are coming this year!! OH MAN! I can't beleive this is happening I am so excitied buy this! Steve you are a genius! Credit card at the ready!!!

Its only a laptop, so what if it take a few more days to come out. Does it really matter? If you are SO desperate for a laptop NOW then get one and be happy you can afford to get one at all. Lifes too short to wish every day away waiting for a laptop to arrive then cursing everyone when it doesn't.
 
watch this thread be the soul reason the macbooks aren't released today. when we all buy our macbooks, there will a shipping-protective plastic film on the lcd that says in apple white text:

"For the record, Tempus, Chundles, dekator (etc) are idiots. Made by apple in California. Enjoy"
 
its 11:05. the apple store would have been down by now. im going to take a shower and wash myself of the filth that is the internet rumor society, and stop neglecting my girlfriend. (as well as my personal hygene)

You haven't seen my MWSF posts have you? For the record, it's 1am here now, on MWSF day the event normally doesn't kick off till 3am or so - by the time the site goes "live" my posts are so incoherent and weird they'll make this effort seem like poetry.

I'm not even in the market for a new laptop - I just can't sleep and this place is fun for a laugh when the big rumours are going around.

To remain on topic, it's kind of a shame we didn't see anything today. I was all prepared to go into debt.

Yes, I seem to remember they had some hefty libel laws... and yes, would have loved to see some new iBooks today, too. Maybe, they will have Meroms inside ? (Which, I think, would be real cool).

those new ibooks better be cheap. i'm selling a laptop, a tower, a lcd monitor and a guitar amp i don't use to buy it. i'll be pissed if the base model is over 1500

Perhaps. My point was that I'd always known the term as 'ad hominem', which is somewhat less gender neutral. Pointless comment, I know.

I'm personally not hoping for too much more than a nice, solid Duo laptop that I can use for school and work. Couldn't care less about integrated graphics, etc.
