But it would still be a Linux/Windows box. Pbbth. I'll build a desktop for less than that if I want to game.

 But, honey, who'd bear witness to your coolness then?

?

Your guess is as good as mine.

I can't find Apple under exhibitors on E3Insider, but they are on the E3 page under exhibitors.

Strange.

Maybe they're waiting until tomorrow, or the last day of E3?

Rich.

Wasn't meant as a smartass remark, was just curious. People have the same debate about sports teams and rock bands, I guess.

And I dunno. Apple has a historically small and relaxed presence at E3, so I'm honestly not expecting much from them.

I can't imagine that Apple as a corporation goes to E3 in the middle of their Intel transition and does nothing .............
Just my 0.02$

For being right?

I hope this isn't a broadly European mindset.

For being RIGHT????

How hard is it to be right when your predicition is that they will be launching the Macbook after next Monday???

No offence (typically European), but that's a no brainer (typically American?)

I hope that this isn't a broadly American mindset.

PS I am American, but CAN'T STAND this attitude, sorry, mea culpa

Man I'm glad someone finally asked that question..

Apple Computer is a company..Microsoft is a company..It's singular.

The correct termonology would be "what is Apple doing" not "what are Apple doing"

Just as "what is Microsoft doing" not "what are Microsoft doing".

I thought I was the only one that was "bothered" by that. :)

Oh i know that :D

I'm just as curious as you.

Apple has been to E3 before? What do they usually do there?

Rich.

I'll say it again

Apple is showing the new MacBook Pro with Bootcamp..eg..Windows ?

Gaming under Windows?

Hello??

That's exactly what i said before, but noone replied to it.

I honestly think they are promoting the new Macs running high end games, under Windows.

Rich.

I seriously doubt that Apple is there to show HIGH END GAMES on intel macs under Windows.

The fastest thing around is a 2,16 GHz CD with a X1600 256 MB videocard.

While other exhibitors have 3,4 GHz Dual Core P4's and Dual Core X64's at 4000 MHz combined with Nvidia 7900 in SLI mode.

How on earth could Apple survive that confrontation ???????????

mikea,

I get it, you dont think its going to happen today. Thanks for your input. For someone who really hopes the MacBook appears tuesday, you seem awfully intent on spreading your own... er... rumour that it wont be. Truth is, nobody knows, thats why we are reading the rumour sites. Do we really have to read the same comments from you on EVERY! page spread across 2 forum threads over 3 or 4 days?? We get it, you dont think they are coming today. Please, do like you say and just come back once it's released, perhaps the excitement of the impending release has given you "Annoying post fever".

"See Ya!!!!"

Thanks dude. I'm Flattered..realy. I've been tryin to get a rise outa someone.
Thanks
I will let you know when I buy a MacBook...if it ever comes out!

How??
By simply showing a Mac running Windows games.Period.

please, everyone, cool down.
We were all waiting for the new macbook that didn't show up.
This does not mean a fight between us all.

It will eventually show up.

Lighten up, wasn't serious at all. :D

If anything, TS has the more American mindset, which is not only to be incorrect but unable to admit so after the fact.

I have a feeling it's something more than Boot Camp running Windows, and showing off gaming on a Mac. It would just seem a bit... well, pathetic, compared to the rest of E3.

Apple: "Look! Everyone! We have gaming! On A Mac!"

Average E3 Visitor: "Whoa, gaming in OSX?"

Apple: "No, we're running Windows with Boot Camp."

Average E3 Visitor: "Not really a hot new thing is it? Gaming in Windows?"

Apple: "But... it's Mac!"

I mean, it's brilliant for us Mac users - finally we don't need more than one machine to do everything we want, we can have gaming on a Mac. But compared to the Next Gen consoles, and all the big developers new releases... it's pretty much old hat to the average gamer.

If they're at E3, then something different is happening. I'm not saying it's for sure, but I have reasonable doubt. :p

Yes, but I'd argue that it would be far more forgiving than a MacBook.

Not to mention you can't burn your nuts with a Mac mini.

edit: at least not under any traditional circumstances.

"Hi, I'm a Mac:cool:
I'm a little deaf so I can't hear your whine:confused:
I also don't use my MBP on my lap:eek:
cause I don't want to burn my dock":p

I am going to get a Mac mini, or a pc....(for half price, shhhh - I will get some flak from AAPL users).

What is happening to Apple? Pull yourselves (yourself - I will appease both sides of the grammar debate:D ) together!

They can show Mac's running high end games in 2 fashions :
- In highest quality at 5 fps ( rediculous )
- In a quality setting that serious gamers will laugh with at reasonable speed

Please don't take it the wrong way but I use macs for my photowork and i are the best machines around.
BUT a mac is not a blazing fast game machine !!!

Sorry to go off-topic but i try to understand what they are doing at E3

We agree (and not only on that, see my little advert (European) above about nuts:) )

TS should at least have had something on their website today (or at least tomorrow - let's see, how many hours left in this day - ony 4.5 for me).

You missed the whole point of their article. Think Secret predicted they would be announced today, they just posted this to say that TS is wrong (which they were) and that it would be later.

There's a big difference between saying "The world will not end tomorrow" and saying it in response to someone insisting it will.

And Apple isn't even attending E3. They're not showing anything because they're not there.

Pretty sure they are, unless the E3 floor layout lies.

Traditionally they do secure a small area during the show and provide a relaxing place for people to wait between exhibits. Or so I've heard.

I know they're there but for what ???

My guess : they will introduce something during E3, maybe not the macbook but they are not there to show games on a Mac alone.
Because otherwise what would they show : games on windows ??? SPECTACULAR
