Apple haven't released anything other than the mouse with the word Magic in the name and until they do I don't think these reports mean anything
Magic Wii mote... Nice!
Could such an interface open the Apple TV up to it own app store?
I don't care much about the remote so long as we get a new Apple TV. The hardware is SO outdated.
I think Apple might be a bit late in their patent application.
You see - I alone control the Apple upgrade / update / new product timeline![]()
Actually Apple's patent is dated 18 months ago. The uWand was introduced this year. And that "magic wand remote"? No one is that geeky.![]()
If Apple releases this device the perception here will be Nintendo stole Apple's idea.
Pass me the MagicWand, which one?
You do realize that when a product is released means nothing, the product could have been in development for a long time and have many amendments before, during and after the patent process and to final production.
Honestly, I'm still surprised Apple wasn't the one to come out with the Wii.
IMO, it would be tough to top the Wiimote. The use of the A and B buttons to "grab" items feels so natural, I don't know how Apple could create an improvement upon this without licensing some of Nintendo's patents.
Could you buy an iPod Touch and a Bamboo Fun and complain publicly that it would be great to have a 10" iPod tablet-like device that could handle both functions?![]()
Super Mario Bros 2 on my iPhone plz...!
