Thanks for the details! There was some talk that those of us that called 'earlier' (Sunday?) may have been processed differently and had phones manually reserved and didn't need to make our own reservation. If so, I didn't get any communication about it.
To add to my own reply: I just send a summary of event since Friday to Tim (the ERT, of course, actually) and we'll see if they can get a status on do I actually have a reservation or not. Will post any results.
 
Is anyone else still waiting on IUP team to respond with iPhone availability? I finally got thru on monday evening and gave all the standard information. I havent heard back yet. I guess it may be a little early still as 72 hours would be tonight. Thinking the chances of getting phone tomorrow are pretty low at this point.

Yes. It is unclear if the emails I got were their "response", but I was under the impression i would be getting a phone call. Since my stores had no extra stock of 7 Plus models, everything they have said or sent me has been worthless so far.

I emailed Tim and got an email about an hour later from some executive. I was wanting to switch my 256 Plus AT&T silver to black.

After all this, I can't show up to my reservation time tomorrow due to a work conflict... Anyone here know what my options are? Right now the plan is to just not show up.

Yeah, exact script I got. And area code was the 512 of the online store call center (Austin, etc.). Only way to tell if this was in response to the ERT emails we sent was if we get other responses. :) I can surmise that those emails bubbled our cases to the top, but we're just making it up at this point.

Man, next year better be all online. :)
 
I got the same voicemail saying I will receive an email today about pickup option for my reservation choices I made. We will see if the email ever comes. Can't believe I missed the call.

Yes, I can show up later in the evening. Will try to do that, but not sure where to line up since technically I would no longer have a reservation. Can pretty much guarantee there's going to be a line around the block for walk-ins...

I got an email that confirmed my iPhone reservation. However, it isn't the device I wanted most. I wanted the Jet Black 7+ AT&T, so I also filled out the form requesting that and stating that I had made a reservation just in case for the Black version and that I would be willing to wait a few weeks to get the one I want. I don't actually care that much to have one on release day...
 
I have yet to hear back from my inquiry on Sunday morning. No emails, no phone call, nothing. Don't wanna throw anyone under the bus, since I'm in the service industry so "I get it", but it's been 5 days ...

I seem to recall at my store there was some way of handling people with reservations that weren't 'current'. There were rope lines for the next several half hours, for example, and I think if you told the 'MC' your story he would put you in the next group. No way you'd be in walk-up.

When you arrive at the Apple Store, check in with a Specialist and ask to speak to a Manager. Bring this email with you and let the Manager know that you’re part of the iPhone Upgrade Program.

Same here. As I mentioned in the other thread, they seem to have lost my mention of the fact I can't get there until Sunday. Hope they hold these special reservations!

Edit: other thread has info that they should hold these for a week.

Edit2: I believe the week hold is for the special ones and not for the normal reservations. Those may be 3 hours?

Yeah, it kinda sucks. Like, why must our reservations be on Friday only? And why can't they just figure out a way for IUP members to receive their phone in the mail, then return the existing phone in-store at their convenience and just make us liable for both until the original is returned. Also frees up time for the Apple retail employees and shortens the lines.
 
Good to know they are trying to help resolve this issue for those on the AUP. Gives me hopes for next year when my time to upgrade comes.

There is provision for up to 14 days to return the 'current' phone in the T&C for the IUP. I would bet/hope that is what happens next year, renewals can be mailed, returns can be shipped back. If they didn't want to do it, after this mess, I'm sure Apple Retail is working on it!

Same here. Finally some confirmation. My contact person also said to have the folks at the store call him tomorrow if they have any questions.
 
I called Monday and I never got a call back from the IUP team.
I never got a call back either just an E-mail to check the site again. But they didn't have the Color I wanted. I want Black (Jet or Plain).

The upgrade site is down at the moment. Wonder what is happenings? Now I have to keep refreshing. Maybe I'll get luck on Saturday Morning.
 
Anyone else seeing "we're making a few updates" when checking store stock?
