We already have those, whenever Apple offers us a free trial of something or other.
To me the percentage is relevant as it is quite annoying. Hence my comment. Why should I care that OTA is about 25% ads when I’m paying 0$ for it? The problem with live channel services is you are paying a lot of money only to get fed ads. The percentage is pretty irrelevant at that point.
Do you really think if Apple made a search engine there wouldn’t be ads?…This is what happens when  loses all those juicy Google billions. Suddenly  needs to replace that income with ads! They are shooting themselves in the foot regarding the argument as to why they don’t want to make a search engine. The whole thing makes me feel sick. 🤮🤮🤮
The Apple TV already shows third-party advertisements in the TV app.I think the same thing will happen when they release the long rumored cheaper Apple TV. That "low" cost will be used as justification for third party ads being shown in the ATV interface, even for the older more expensive models.
A word for Advertisers, we will purchase your crap they you are selling. We need to eliminate advertising from everywhere, it is a nuisance more than anything.

Back in 2022, Gurman said software engineering was "already underway" to display ads in the Apple Maps app, but Apple did not move forward with the idea at the time. Today, he said Apple is "giving this notion more thought" again.
This time around, he said Apple has yet to start engineering work, so ads in the Apple Maps app might still be a ways away.

For example, a fast food chain could pay Apple to appear near the top of the results when a user searches for "burgers" or "fries." Many similar apps already offer search ads, including Google Maps, Waze, and Yelp.

The problem with that is the competition produces nothing but junk. You would have to go back to paper. If they really do this, I'd consider leaving the brand entirely after being a loyal Apple enthusiast for 20+ years. They've already strayed from their mission of making products and services that improve people's lives. Pure greed.

At this point Samsung is offering all the AI things Apple promised. A good working assistant and better hardware. Even their one ui 7 looks/works like iOS 18 or is it the other way around. At this point I feel like I can just go back to Samsung because it’ll be the same experience.
