I love my iPhone... but Apple Maps doesn't jive with my Windows computers and Google-centric life.

I usually find an address with Google on my desktop via the web browser... and simply click the "star" to save it to my Google Maps. Then it's available on my iPhone in the Google Maps app.

Without a web version of Apple Maps... it doesn't really work for me. But that's OK because I do have a solution that works well.

Haven't used Google Maps since Apple Maps came out in iOS 6. :)

You should fell lucky that you have not yet drive into river....

As I have both iPhone and Android with me all the time, I need Google Maps more that Applr Maps. Google maps allows me to save all ky favorite locations, it remembers my search history, my recent places and allows me to save offline map... Until Apple Maps goes to Android, Apple Maps always gonna be in my Apple Crap folder on my iPhone 6S...

I've always been a big fan of Apple Maps. Never had any issues in using the search function and never had issues with directions or anything of that nature. I realize that I'm probably just lucky (and also in the USA, which helps a lot I'm assuming).

Recently I've started using Waze now that they've updated. Primarily because of the police and traffic reporting. If only Apple Maps had a similar service! Even just more siri integration (hey siri, where is the cheapest gas along my route in the next 100 miles, etc) would win me back over.

well it's the ONLY map I can use for carplay, and instead of opting to potentially kill myself or someone else by staring at my phone and using navigon or google maps (the apps I would much rather prefer to use) while driving, I'm forced to use Apple's maps.

The only thing stopping me from switching is better/more reliable traffic updates with accurate ETA's, street view, and primarily lane guidance. It's nice to know if I should be in the far left lane or if the middle lane turns left too, etc...

Usually use google maps or navigon. Apple maps is last resort or through siri.

I find google maps to be much more accurate with regards to current traffic conditions and ETA. That, combined with street view functionality, keeps be using google maps over apple maps.
I disagree. I use Apple maps often and in different cities and states. The ETAs are scary accurate in town and if a drive like a maniac I can makeup time. traffic condition are super accurate in 8 and even better at feedback since 9. I've had Siri just route me around trouble and wonder why I'm going out of my way, to later find the was a big wreck or something. Streetview is the only reason I will pull out Google, but the interface is horrid and difficult to use on a smartphone.

I don't use Apple map mainly is the lack of bike route support..I commute by bike to/from work or just exploring the city by finding shortcuts..until then google map is my go to for map.
Exactly! And when you use the Walk directions so that it uses local trails instead of roads, it auto-switches to Drive and reroutes as soon as you hit 10mph.
Very annoying.

Seriously I would never need to use Google maps if it wasn't for links needed for work reasons. I'm certain a Apple maps will come to Android once street view is added then for iOS users that'll be the death nail for Google maps on iOS. I don't see that people get it that Apple is really beefing up its services and that will soon play a much bigger role in converting droids. Patience people.

Apple maps has made HUGE improvements.

Admit it.

I don't know, I much prefer Apple Maps, and continuity is really useful. Search in my Mac, and just shows in my phone. Apple Map is also cleaner, faster, easier to navigate, and a lot more accurate in Sydney.

I still use MotionX Drive. Apple Maps is integrated with everything so much - it is easy to see why it is overcoming Google Maps. No one wants to type in an address if it can be done automatically by clicking a link. Plus, I remember when Google first rolled out maps it had all kinds of problems. Just growing pains for both services.

Not only is Google Maps better, but after several months of reporting the problem to Apple Maps they still send people to the wrong location when they enter our business address. Not surprising! Its Apple! They never admit when they are wrong.

(Mac only user since 1996)

I give Apple Maps a chance every month or so, but I'm always disappointed. Google Maps does a much better job for me.

I was totally going to vouch for Apple maps being much improved since it was first released, but it went and screwed up again.

Back when it first came out, it kept instructing me to take an illegal left turn onto the interstate (you actually need to do a "michigan left") and I sent in an error report because that's a pretty big, and dangerous, routing error. It was fixed rather quickly, and all was well.

Now, just earlier today, I used Maps to get me to my friend's new house which is kinda far away. Completely out of no where it seems, Maps is back to suggesting the illegal left turn. What the hell, Apple?

Not my experience in LA. I've been screwed by Google once, though. They didn't know a freeway exit was defunct, so I had to hop off, go under the freeway, take the entrance, the other way, exit, then circle around again and take the previous exit-- a mess. That's when I switched to Maps for good. It was default, and it's never led me wrong. I find the timing of Google's voice directions weird and off-putting. Also, me and Siri are good friends now.

Was it a downtown exit?

I prefer Waze! I live in a large 3 million+ metro area, and the traffic alerts on Waze definitely comes in handy. I am surprised Google is still updating Waze since they bought them.
