In case anyone is wondering, the music is Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007 by Johann Sebastian Bach. Played by Steve's friend, Yo-Yo Ma.

It's the first track on Classic Yo-Yo.

I didn't act as if he was even a friend of mine when he died, but it is sad. Steve Jobs is someone that truly shaped his world - and helped a lot of other people help their world. He didn't try to act like anyone else and didn't want to run Apple like any other company, they were truly individualistic. More people in the world need to live this way.

The point is you dont know the guy, you bought stuff (you really liked to use) from the company he also worked for.

Plenty of people shape the world or help people(if jobs actually did that), going to mourn them all?

Its sad for his family and friends, not for the people who just wanted more stuff he worked on.

my heart sunk the moment I opened Safari this morning. Its been a year, but it still saddens me. Forever remembered, Steve Jobs.

Undoubtedly, Steve Jobs was a man who accomplished a lot and definitely contributed to the world. However, I feel like Apple is just trying to get as much mileage from the Jobs legacy as possible.

I hate Tim Cook.

If he classes scuffed £700 phones which are supposed to be brand new as having "high standards", then Apple truly are the lowest of the low right now.

Its a shame he has disrespected Steve's memory by not following his 5 year product plan.

No that would be all the Apple is doomed articles popping up left right and center these days. It's those folks milking the legacy of Jobs.

Steve's passion and dedication, whether you liked him or not, is something we can all look up to and admire. RIP Steve.

No body knows where we can buy some of the fantastic pictures used in this video? Would look awesome on my wall!

I suspect we'll see many of these today. And people call Apple fans sheep following the herd. Yawn.

it only took them 1 year to turn the company into a mindless corporate monster which only really cares about destroying samsung & google whilst milking as much money from its customers as it can before they all realise that Apples "iconic" days are over.

Theres no more ideas left in the Steve Jobs legacy jar and with a dull Tim Cock and former Dixons retail ass hole running the show it wont be long before the decline of Apple really gets under way.

I think the video is very tasteful and inspiring, and the way it fades to white, and the pure simplicity of only the top bar and nothing else, is simplicity itself. Steve's lifelong goal.

As Apple achieves great milestones over the next few years we will be reminded Steve will not be there to see them, but he alone initiated the process of making it happen, and the team he developed will pull it off. Large scale change with societal scale impact for years to come.

Starting with iPhone finally being widely available in China. We will soon see what it's like for an entire planet to focus its attention on communication and freedom of information. It's going to be a great thing.

Rocketman

Remember when people say that Apple will go down after the death of Steve jobs? Well, it did dip, to like $360. Now it is over $700! Obviously Apple is doing something right.

Reminded Me Apple is In My DNA

I started out with an Apple //+ years ago and sold it for the first Mac. Apple has let me do things that I would never have been able to accomplish without the technology Apple gave me. Apple's product philosophy has also given me a lot to think about. I'm sure this is true for a lot of people.

Thank you Steve Jobs. Thank you Apple.
