I just want my current 7+ order to come already. The wait is killing me! The white would be really nice though I love the look of white devices, such a clean look.

well maybe you should update Apple, becuase they themselves said this shade can get scratched easily.but yours seem to have magical immunity so I'm sure Apple will appreciate it.

it can get scratched just by contact with your clothes..that's just stupid.

No, they didn't. In fact, they said the opposite: that its finish is as hard as the others. That means it is not more likely to scratch. Scratches will, however, show up more and they said that as well.

Look, believe what you want. But I use my phone normally and there are zero scratches. If I get any in the future and if they bother me, I'll use a case. Pretty simple.

I find this very interesting. Why white and why so late in the game? Although I'm sure some people will be happy about it. But I feel the same way I did when I saw the black version of the iPhones. I was like really Apple, black? Of all the colors. You took away space grey which I thought was neat since it was 2 toned and replaced it with plan black. But wait you can get in matte or piano that's prone to scratch you couldn't find a way to make it shiny, scratch resistant and less finger print magnet, ipads and other iPhones have that but not the piano finish. That's like a android thing black phones black tablets. When I finally saw gold it wasn't with htc or Samsung it was Apple. What happened to the blue that was rumored?

Apple plans to add a "Jet White" color option for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models, according to Japanese website Mac Otakara. The report did not outline when Apple might add the sixth color to the lineup, and it also warned the information obtained from supply chain sources "may be unreliable."

Mac Otakara has accurately leaked information about Apple's upcoming plans in the past, including the new Jet Black color and no 3.5mm headphone jack on iPhone 7. It was also correct about several other iPhone 7 details, including its naming, flush Home button, longer earpiece cutout, and lack of Smart Connector.

Nevertheless, the blog has been wrong on occasion, such as when it said the iPhone SE may come in a brighter pink shade that's different than Rose Gold. Moreover, given the lack of confidence in its own source, this rumor may not materialize and should be treated with a proverbial grain of salt.

[doublepost=1478583563][/doublepost]Jet White.......big deal
Lets get on with making an unbelievable i phone 8

I wish I could give you more thumbs up. Jet white - I'm hoping something got lost in Google Translate when converting from Japanese to English. I used to think Space Gray was Apple's dumbest most non-sense name. Jet White?o_O

I'm going to give Apple more credit than that and say dumb rumor is dumb. Although, they did put space and gray together. Still, nope. Jet White - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

See...that's what these manufacturing companies like to do. They fabricate these crazy color titles to separate themselves from the "Others." It creates a grandiose feeling when someone wants something with an edgey title or name that draws one's attention.

When I purchased my 2015 Mustang Gt 350 last year, I had two color options, Grabber Blue and Guard Green. Really Ford? Grabber.....Blue? Guard.... Green? I mean....what were the engineers smoking or drinking when they designed the color concept titles for this Car? I even asked the sales associate how they come up with these color schemes and all he did was shake his head. Quite Literally.

Point is...the title is attractive, mysterious, different if you will. It's the color and name that draws the customer.

Apple labels the iPhone 7 as Jet Black, when it easily could have been labeled "Gloss Black." But that would have made it apathetic. Apple, like others, see's the consumer through their wallets, not through common sense. Especially when it comes To new iPhone launches, being how many will go crazy for the new color.

I've never heard jet used in the context of a different colour. Sounds confusing, like it suggests it's a black shade of that colour?

Come on, Apple aren't going to call it Jet White, that's just not their style. Not just cos it sounds wrong, but also because it's using the same word for two colours. They change names for (almost) the same colour from one generation to the next! They like variety in colour names!

It's weird that isn't it? Surely when you're asking for a colour it's because a) you've decided what car you want and b) you've decided what colour you want? When do you even hear the names of the colours before that?

Jet white? I would think pearl white is a better name. :D
Instead of color matching the antenna bands on existing colors, lazy Jony Ive will just release a colored body to match the white antenna bands...

I predict Apple will do this for the iPhone 8, and it will be ceramic, just like the Apple Watch.
This will add the nice shiny bling look of design excellence that everyone craves over as well as increasing the Mohs hardness factor.

It can be a reality. Xiaomi has already created a concept design known as the Mi Mix, and I am predicting that Apple will design something very similar to this.

Why would they call it Jet White? Jet is black, there is no such thing as white Jet.

Jet is a black (or technically very dark brown) fossilised wood, made famous in jewelry by Queen Victoria - as a show of mourning after Albert died.
[doublepost=1478598592][/doublepost]Jet is black, and black only, so yes they would certainly choose a different name...

Tim Cook and Ive are screwing big time with the Apple customers. They really think we are so dumb. How about adding wireless charging instead ?

Glad apple is the only company that provides more color choice than any other company (nice looking color)

Yep Tim Cook has successfully turned Apple into a fashion company instead of a tech company. If only they would offer decent advancements and innovations instead of color/finish options, watch band styles, emoji updates and color choices for laptops...

Whats with all these "Jet" themed colors. What does it even mean? Jet Pink? I see no correlation between a propulsion mechanism and colors - maybe its inspired by JetBlue??

That looks good, but could they also be mistaking this for the 2017 iPhone, which may be made of ceramic, and possibly called Jet White?

Perhaps they'll release the Jet White in the middle of the 7/7 Plus' cycle, similar to the time they introduced the white iPhone 4. Releasing a new colour mid-cycle will also boost sales, and a good sales boost is what turns Tim Cook on.

Well, the reason they delayed the white iPhone 4 was because of this. It was much less strategy as opposed to damage control, but I do see your point.
