White will go nicely with all those cut-price MacBook Pro adapters Apple is selling.

When you are in a hole, stop digging. It's okay to admit you were wrong. First off, as much as you hold your nose up with your "Art Degree," an interesting topic all by itself, I hate to tell you that there is no law that regulates what names people can call colors. I guess you went apoplectic when Apple came up with "Space Gray" when your neighbor with an astronomy degree pointed out that Space is not gray. Or when your friend with a degree in horticulture pointed out that it was incredibly ignorant of Apple to call a phone color "Rose Gold" since everybody knows roses aren't gold.

There are millions of internet entries with the word "jet" in front of another color. Major paint companies, major car manufacturers all have used it in front of a color other than black. Audi used it on their luxury car line for four straight years when they offered it as a color choice for example. Who knew their design staff was so ignorant.
I stand by my posts. Have a nice day.

Apple plans to add a "Jet White" color option for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models, according to Japanese website Mac Otakara. The report did not outline when Apple might add the sixth color to the lineup, and it also warned the information obtained from supply chain sources "may be unreliable."

Mac Otakara has accurately leaked information about Apple's upcoming plans in the past, including the new Jet Black color and no 3.5mm headphone jack on iPhone 7. It was also correct about several other iPhone 7 details, including its naming, flush Home button, longer earpiece cutout, and lack of Smart Connector.

Nevertheless, the blog has been wrong on occasion, such as when it said the iPhone SE may come in a brighter pink shade that's different than Rose Gold. Moreover, given the lack of confidence in its own source, this rumor may not materialize and should be treated with a proverbial grain of salt.

That's so messed up I already got the jet black why couldn't they have it come out at launch I guess it pays to wait sometimes...dammit it looks nice

I wish I could give you more thumbs up. Jet white - I'm hoping something got lost in Google Translate when converting from Japanese to English. I used to think Space Gray was Apple's dumbest most non-sense name. Jet White?o_O

I'm going to give Apple more credit than that and say dumb rumor is dumb. Although, they did put space and gray together. Still, nope. Jet White - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Agree about "Jet White", but Space Grey is a BMW colour as well, it was a BMW colour since 2006 actually!

Nope. I'm holding out for true innovation like blue and green paisleys. /sarc

Seriously, feels like when the original iMac was done and Apple started trotting out all the Barbie-esque and dalmation editions. Fortunately, the lamp iMac followed so here is hoping all this color gets played out and next year's phone packed with good tech.

well I haven't used the ones you mentioned so can't comment on them but your last sentence is completely wrong almost any Apple product Ive seen looked beautiful and yet was durable enough,iMacs,Macbook Air/Pro,iPhone 4-6s..etc

So what you're saying is that you've only been using Apple stuff for the past 6 years. I showed a pattern of 18 years of products that can't survive basic use without damage to their appearance. I didn't even include the slate black iPhone 5 that chipped and scratched so easily that it also had to be put in a case or the iPhone leather cases that discolor with a few days of use.

I like the white but Apple please bring space gray back! Doesn't make sense to introduce the new MacBook in space gray when you just discontinued it in the latest iPhone line.

This makes a lot of sense and I am sure that Apple will release this new white color because scratches will not be seen on the Jet White color.

It is exactly the same as cars, in a white car you almost don't see any scratch, and in black cars you see all the scratches.

People will use this colore without using a cover or thinking all day about scratches like the Jet Black iPhone 7

I would buy that. Looks really good, and the micro abrasions would probably be less noticeable.

That typical. Apple invent a new colour and all people here can do is criticise.

To be fair, the new color is essentially pointless due to how easy it can get scratch.
Even in a Spigen case it still scratch from the antenna band.

White has been the best color used by Apple. The best looking products have been white. I strongly miss white Macs.

This would be cool for a Christmas release. Red box + White iPhone. :)
You think they'do have any stock available before Christmas? Dream on. People are still waiting for their September release phones!

You got 'Jet Black' You may as well also have 'Jet White' lol

Of course if everyone just used a bloody case like me and careful with your devices, then u wouldn't care about scratches being hidden

Adding more colors still good choice....

Not sure what you're doing with yours, but I routinely use my Jet Black phone with no case and it still looks pristine. I don't make any special accommodations, either, other than not carrying it in a pocket with hard objects and not setting it on surfaces such as concrete.
well maybe you should update Apple, becuase they themselves said this shade can get scratched easily.but yours seem to have magical immunity so I'm sure Apple will appreciate it.

it can get scratched just by contact with your clothes..that's just stupid.
