White or black face though? I'm happy with my matte black, but would have considered a jet white if the front would have been black still (like the white was for the iPhone 3g). Just don't care for the white fronts.

I agree, black front, white back is the way it should be. Like the 3G / 3GS.

A jet white would probably show significantly less fingerprints and scratches than the black.

While I don't think I'd ever get a white iPhone, I'd be more interested in a matte white.

Amazing how ignorant some people are. The word "jet" when used with black refers to the gemstone (which is black). If this color is released, it will not use "jet" as an adjective - it makes no sense!

Perhaps they'll release the Jet White in the middle of the 7/7 Plus' cycle, similar to the time they introduced the white iPhone 4. Releasing a new colour mid-cycle will also boost sales, and a good sales boost is what turns Tim Cook on.

All of the big tech companies have the most horrible nomenclature for their products. Apple's one of the least guilty...but that's not saying much.
