Ill laugh when it comes out with the weird stretched screen and all the moaners buy it anyway and say how amazing and innovative apple is.

Sorta like the Fandroids do every time Samsung releases a new Galaxy S XX Platinum Deluxe Touch Turbo Pro?

If this is true which it very well might be this will add a huge boost to the end of Apple's quarter and to the end of their fiscal year which ends Sept 29, 2012.

Time to buy some more stock!

I have been in love with Mac products since the first day I laid my hands on one, but here lately Apple has been leaving me cold. I hate waiting for them to catch up or take a chance on making changes. Going from a short flat brick to a longer flat brick is not innovative or revolutionary, which I though Apple was always about. If you are set on only making one phone, and only one version of that phone why not push the evelope every year?

Apple is becoming the new Microsoft, where it's all a big money grab. No one cares what the people really want, all that matters is the quaterly reports, and how much money is made.

After putting my hands on the Samsung this past weekend, I'm thinking if I don't see a huge change in desgin THIS year, I'm sorry but Im switching, and only go to Apple for desktops and Ipads.

Don't think so.

I find it weird we are getting all these rumored iPhone 5 leaks but we haven't had one leak of the rumored iPad mini.

Hmmmm

I think these photos are of genuine Apple prototype parts. They are not "spare parts" as they are not finished to manufacturing standard, no FCC or product name on the back.

The chassis in the photos and videos has been put together pretty well, but not perfectly. I think what we are looking at is an evaluation prototype (could be the final design but maybe not), its just been mocked-up to show Apple what it could look like.

My biggest problem is with the metal on the back. Wouldn't that just short out the antennas assuming they are keeping the on-edge design for these. The bands on the 4 and 4S are designed to keep the antennas apart but this back plate would join them together again across the back of the phone!

How would this work??

Hey guys, I got my 4S when it came out. When I log into AT&T to see how much of a penalty I would have to pay today, it says:

"Great news! You qualify for an early iPhone upgrade with a new 2-year commitment. Full upgrade available: May 07, 2013"

What does that mean? Does that mean I DON'T have a penalty at all?

My contract ends in March. Gives Apple time to knock out the hardware flaws before I get one.

watch when they're screwing everybody over. On september 12, they hold a special event, release the 'teardrop' iphone and these leaks are just to get the crowd interested in a time when apple has major competition. Gets people talking, saying how they want a new design, and then there's steve cook with this revolutionary new design

that would be amazing

Don't forget about that 'innovative' S-voice and S-cloud ;)

For the 16gb 4s there are 3 price levels
Full Upgrade = $199
Early Upgrade = $399
No Commitment = $599

You would pay $399 now and after May 7, 2013 you will pay $199.

Even at the time of the teardrop rumors, there were never leaked parts of teardrop iphone. But there were leaked parts of the 4S. Just like the leaked parts we are seeing today.

We are seeing these leaked parts early because I think Apple is expecting huge sales and they want to fill those as soon as possible to have the biggest launch they have ever had. And they have started the production way early.

I want to see some parts of the iPad mini but that could be later in August.

PS: How many times did I say leaked? :)

So the early upgrade penalty doesn't decline as you get closer to your 20 months (or two years)? That seems weird.

So we've supposedly seen what the outside of the new iPhone will look like, will we begin to hear rumors of what's inside through the month of August?

I hope so. The design we've been seeing, I like it. Now I'm curious about what's gonna be in this beast! :p

No, there's basically two pricing trigger points, you hit them, you get a fixed discount (not any kind of incremental discount).

I _am_ up for a full discount :D

I don't think this will be a hardware-only event -- I hope that Apple produces TVApp, giving full control over TV but also allowing multiple users to set up their own viewing preferences/genres, prioritising channels selectable by tapping or swiping.

I don't own an TV but would get one if an TVApp was available.

I'm sitting here with an iPhone 4 with a Spider Man screen, waiting for the iPhone 5 to come, I'm more waiting for real LTE than anything else.

I do want to see the iPad Mini, I have deployed over 100 iPads at my business and a mini would be the perfect fit for us due to it's size.

A wider/larger brick is not innovative or revolutionary either.

... and lets not even talk about the 'Note' and how ridiculous people look with that.
