I'm hoping for iPad iOS4, for sure! Maybe a small speed or RAM/memory bump.

This is also exciting because if they new ipods are released, they'll be eligible for the "Free iPod" promotion that ends afterwords (7th or 9th?). Already bought my new i7, but for other new buyers, such a plus!

Fingers Crossed!

How cool would it be if they somehow integrated facetime with a front facing camera on the front of the iTV.

Also, even if you buy a new computer on 9/1, 9/2, or 9/3, they never include the brand new iPods in the promotion.

it ends the 7th, but the new ipod touches wont be available for that, most likely thats what they did last year. They will still give the "3rd gen" 8GB

I don't care if there are commercials, if they rent for .99 cents, I want it.

No more cable for me. I cancelled it a few months ago and I refuse to be chained again. If I can pick some of the programs I like and can't get with a cheap antena, I am going for it.

Steve, pls figure out a way for live sports, work your magic.

Netflix may have enough instant play (even more after buying the rights from MGM and Paramount last month). I am warming up to Hulu Plus, I am all set. I am willing to pay for what I want, but I don't like being taken for a ride by the cable companies.

and how much are you saving after paying for a la carte high speed internet? DSL doesn't count

1. iTunes 10. Rewriten from the ground up and full 64bit support. cloud support for those who want it. Cloud support will work with mobile me.
2. Quicktime X for Windows.
3. iPod Touch with Retna display. Dual Cameras. A4. 32 and 64GB drives. $199 and $299. The 16GB 3rd gen touch will cost $99.
4. iPod nano. 32 and 64GB flash.
5. New shuffle with small screen. May be given a new name.
6. iPod classic will STAY around for another year. 2011 will see a 10th anniversary classic with a retro look, but with modern materials and firmware.

thats about it. Its an ipod event after all. not a mac event or an apple Tv event.

The problem with that is that they never made a 16gb iPod touch 3rd gen-Apple is gonna make a 16gb ofan old ipod-it would have to be an 32/64gb if they wanted to keppe the older model.

Lol the opening music will be a custom made apple song by lady gaga, with Steve jobs rapping in it :D.

I am soo surprised no one has thought if this. They WILL release iOS 4.1, because that's wht the next touch will ship with. 4.1 gaurentees email based facetime.

Those of you listing your expectations for the next touch, go to the iPod touch forum, I have read ridiculous things in this thread.

3g base $199
32gb $299
64gb $399 (jeez, you think it will change???)
4g has a4,retina, facetime, 3.2mp back cam, 512mb RAM, new design.

Well my predictions,

*iPod line upgrade

New iPod touch with camera as expected, maybe with a name change too, up to 128 gb possibly
Goodbye to iPod classic
iWatch or something like a watch with a touchscreen(ok the least realistic one I know)
if not, iPod Nano with touchscreen, as small as a zippo lighter maybe even less

*iOS4 for iPad

New features such as iPhone apps with support to iPhone 4 double resolution, no longer just scaling to double size but real double size.
Multitasking Etc.
Maybe a business app store for all iDevices

*Apple TV

$99 price with 16 or 32 gb memory
We may see a Facetime camera

* Free MobileMe service with limited storage

Existing members or paid new members get higher storage rates
Facetime support with .me addresses for all camera equipped Apple devices
.me email address becomes the new signature for Apple users, a new community

Game Center

what was it called again?

-----

one more thing(s):

iLife update (less likely, seemingly we'll wait for the next major OS X release)
7" iPad (no, I don't think so)
