Quicktime X is for Mac OS X

"QuickTime X is the next-generation media technology that powers the audio and video experience in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. It includes a completely new QuickTime Player application with a clean, uncluttered design. And it delivers more efficient media playback, HTTP-based live streaming, and greater color accuracy"

If there's a new release of QT for Windows it won't be called Quicktime X.

Why not, isn't Quicktime 7 for Windows called Quicktime 7?

I sincerely cross my finger to see real iTunes HD with WAV format for songs and 1080p for movies.

I dream about iTunes LP Album in Wav for computer and containing the AAC version for the iOS devices...

Audiophile will thank Apple ;)

PS: Regarding the guitar, it's clearly a mix between Martin, Takamine and other such this one:

The more I'm reading online, the more I'm thinking that this will be a Music only event:

New iPods
iOS 4 and GarageBand for iPad

The "one more thing" may be an intro to the new AppleTV (just like when it first was introduced) to be shipping in February and to get the Developers to start making Apps (and Game Controllers ;) ) for it... :D

Who cares about the Beatles..

ummm a lot of people. Most people dont listen to rap or hip hop. You can listen to your lady gaga, Justin bebber and Katy Perry and miley Cyrus all you want, but there are some who like the beatles.

you'll never know.

Look at the iBook. The name has come alive again under the e-book catergory.

Why?? I understand wanting lossless audio, but wouldn’t you at least prefer something like FLAC or Apple Lossless (obviously the more likely of the two) that are also lossless with like half the file size? Not to mention tagging…

You can already convert down on sync in iTunes 9.1

That's the feeling I get too.

No reason Apple can't turn around and do an iTV event in October for the holidays...

I hope something is mentioned about the white iPhone. If not, they really should just pull it off the iPhone and store pages. At this point, I don't even know why they still have it displayed.

Why would Apple use WAV format when they can use Apple Lossless?

ALAC isn't that good for 24 bits... but hey, even ALAC 16bits (or FLAC) would be better than AAC 256 kbits.

In video, quality and resolution never ending to grow again and again... and in music (which was the main goal of iTunes), the quality isn't good at all. AAC 256 is good for portable devices when you do jogging or so, but when you really want listen music (I mean, REAL music... not radio crap), you want the best quality possible.

Most album are done in 24bits/96kHz.... or at least 24 bits/44.1 kHz. I can clearly hear the difference with AAC 256 kbits version.

Regarding the bitrate convertion, I know, but I hope more option on that... Or at least a AAC 256 kbits for my iOS syncing while keeping my 24bits/44.1 kHz files for my Living Room system and computers in the house.

I just think I'll be disappointed once again regarding the iTunes Quality... Mass market that's listening Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and so on... just don't even know what the "Audio Quality" really is...

My .002 cents,

The $99 iTV...

Does that include the $29 :apple: power adapter and $49 :apple: video cable?

iTunes needs a remake from the ground up, the app has just gotten too big for it's britches.

Also a new name, it's now 20% tunes.

Call it iPlayer. They're already stealing a name from ITV, what difference will stealing a name from the BBC make.

6 stringed ilife

if the rumored 6th ilife app is coming could the 6 strings of the guitar represent the 6 apps of ilife 11:apple:
