Apple Media Event Scheduled for September 1st

Couple things.
Love the fact: SO MANY people shut their mouths when the media event was announced earlier and on a wednesday. New iPods when the free ipod touch edu discount is still going.
Dislike the fact: That the "iTV" is what everybody wants, poor fanbois. BluRay w/ Samsung 1080p 40''+ HDTV > "iTV" ALL DAY!

A brief search through PatentlyApple.com and iPod patents, I found this interesting possible new feature. (I know not all patent come true, but I thought it was interesting)

Apple Patent Reveals Multi-Touch Scroll-Wheel & Larger Display iPod
"In Apple's patent FIGS. 16 and 17 (click to enlarge) we see that the scroll wheel is used to control a zooming feature or function. To enable this function, the user has to go to the menu to change "legacy wheel mode" to that of "gesture mode." Gesture mode will be used in conjunction with iLife, iWork or other applications suitable for the iPod. If the larger display for an iPod Classic materializes, then you'd also be able to use your iPod at home or in any WiFi area to surf the net with Safari."
"In patent figure 14 below, the proposed iPod multi-touch scroll wheel will allow end users to swipe the wheel left-to-right to advance photos to mimic the touch-screen feature found in multi-touch screen based media players like the iPod touch."

I had the same thought. I even spent a few minutes with Google images to see whether I could find some particular similarity between that particular guitar, that particular version of the Apple logo (as compared to the Beatles' Apple record company) and so on. I now think I was projecting.
I hope they unveil a new Newton OS.
I like this. Everyone gets MobileMe, and that would open more opportunities for FaceTime. It could be web based. That way anyone could use it, and have a FaceTime conversation.

Yes please! After using iOS 4 on my iPhone now, I've come to appreciate multitasking with apps running in the background. Without this feature, the iPad seems so May, 2010-ish

Can we not start what is and is not real music now I personally don't like justin bieber but i do think he's not making music.... and Lady Gaga's sound may be dance pop oriented but the words and meaning to some of her songs are some of the most creative out there.....
however i do think that everyone would like to have the highest quality sounding music regardless of who the artist is.

What if... the next iPod Classic would have larger screen, wheel and large hard drive?
Or what if.... the next iPod Classic could be used as a "GamePad" for the iTV/iMediaCenter/iGame/new Apple TV??? It will combine touchscreen AND the Dpad...
