This event should be huge. I expect a wide range of innovative new products that should drive AAPL shares through the roof.

I'm expecting:
New MacBook Pros
New MacBook Airs
New Apple Cinema Display
New iPods (who cares)
New iPod Touch (awesome 4G design)
New Apple TV (no storage, no buy for me)

Another record breaking period of Christmas sales beckons for Apple.

My advise clear some of your credit card debt now because you are going to be busy shopping in September.

Nah, waaay too much.

The last 8 years or so it's been:

1. iTunes updates, marketshare, number of credit-card accounts, sales etc. They will also include more iPhone and iPad figures as well as app store downloads.

2. Then we'll see the new iPod lineup and possibly some talk on iOS 4.x for iPad.

3. New AppleTV and some new media purchasing model.

That's it.

UK TV Episode rentals???

I wonder if the UK will be let down again with iTV. I'm not sure they will even release it here to be honest. Episodes certainly won't be as cheap as USA at 99$! and that's only if they get the rights to sell worldwide.

Oh well, as long as it streams from my Mac then I'll still be first in the queue.

new ipod touch, finally!

I hope to god they don't pull another 3rd gen iPod touch where only the mid-end and top-end models got upgraded. Hopefully they sell the new touch at the increased 16gb capacity for the price of the current 8gb.

Oh, these people better not even start calling it "4G". It's bad enough people call it the iTouch already. I don't think I can handle iTouch 4G. So incorrect on so many levels.

I couldn't agree more. People keep coming up to me asking about my iPhone 4 saying is that the "4G". I have given up on explaining to them that it is an iPhone 4 not a "4G"

I can not wait to ge my hand on the new iTouch 4G, its going to be sweet.

MacAddict2000, I completely agree with you, I hate these abbreviations like i4, iP4, or just plain 4 (this isn't an intel processor, it's an iPhone 4) and the iTouch bugs me the most, its an iPod touch.

but, I do still call my 3rd generation iPod nano the Fatty nano.

Give me Facetime and a 128gb touch and they have a definite buyer! Don't care about the price just gimme.
(My 5.5G iPod is finally on deaths doorstep)

Can't see Sept 7 which is right after Labor Day. Most likely Sept 8, and an outside chance the following Tuesday Sept 14.

What about this mysterious new product? I wonder if we will see the rumoured 7 inch iPad? What about iLife 10/11? I know Steve doesn't like to reveal too many new products at once but I hope it's more than just an iPod Touch that looks like an iPhone and a revamped AppleTV.

Why? It's the day after Labor Day, not Labor Day? School for most will have already started at least a week earlier, earlier in some regions. Also Labor Day is an American holiday, and not a huge vacation holiday like Memorial day. With 7th likely to be a slow news day that means more air time/print space for Apple on the 7th and the morning of the 8th. As you get further out in Sept the news is going to be about the U.S. mid-term elections, TV season, baseball playoffs, football... all the stuff that is fall news. Not to mention the 10th anniv. of 9/11.

You'll disapointed.

I'm expecting:
New MacBook Pros

Last updated in April, forget about it.

New MacBook Airs

Though an update is probably around the corner (or simply EOL on the product), unlikely at the September event which is all iTunes/iPods.

New Apple Cinema Display

Updated barely a month ago. Do you even follow AAPL news ?

the iTouch bugs me the most, its an iPod touch.

Especially considering an iTouch is this :

Apple doesn't have any 'iTouchs' so there is no way there can be 'new' iTouchs.

It's the iPod Touch - not the iTouch :)

He's talking about the Logitech keyboard of course.

It's also the name of a suite of sale applications for touchscreen EPOS systems. I have wondered why regular consumers are talking about such PC-only software on a Mac forum.

Also: please get a retina display iPod touch. It looks superb but I don't want to have to buy an iPhone 4.

Since this event has noting to do with the Mac, I want just two things:

(1) iTV - I love my Apple tv but it is in dire need of new hardware. Anything else is a plus.

(2) iTunes X - iTunes is also is major need of a rewrite, in particular a 64-bit version.

I just want it to be out for sales as soon as possible, my 2gen is heading to its ending.. I want something that multi-task, so put it out please:):)!
