The new site make its harder for me to find the things I was very easly able to find before. After years of using Apple.com and store.apple.com I'm going to need to adjust to how I use the site. This is why I believe the site sucks ass.

What about their new website design sucks?
Here is what is wrong big time: Go here :http://www.apple.com/mac/

On my laptop I can't see the whole iMac or MacBook, only part of it. Then, on ONE single page they manage to put MacBook (Learn More/Buy) , then same pics/links for MacBook Air and PRo (why together and MacBook at top?). THEN a back to school add (on SAME page), then a Compare Mac Models pics and links, Then Pick up Today section And Free Deliveries section, then Accessories (and graphic does not match others in style), Then ads and links for Yosemite and iCloud, and El Capitan (!!!!), the Amazing Apps, Then Photos, then Macs for Education, then Macs for Business (these last 2 again graphic is not uniform with others, Then Workshops!!!! Then a bunch of small print.

Dudes and dudets - this is the Dogs Breakfast of a web page. This is Apple becoming undone. This is Apple being MS. Throwing everything together on one page and making things confusing.

I know Steve is gone, but he really pressed for simplicity. This web page goes against all of that.

And there goes my computer monitor to be the apple store app on the iPad...

General search doesn't work for the Swedish store either but that I think is bug as it switches to the store at the us store. I don't consider the yahoo style a search as too many things will be hidden and you have to guess where Apple put something with that.

Where is Apple's programs? Logic Pro? No, I don't want Apple music!!

Well it's pretty. Good luck and hope it works.

But bottom line, this will make it less likely that my parents will use the apple store instead of some other web store that actually is a store for finding and purchasing what you want and can find for their apple products. This is a big display window not a store.
Here it is. Right in the Mac page. With all the other Pro apps. Come on man, just visit the site completely. Before you couldn't find it in the main page. Now, you can, actually. SCROLL!

What does this mean for refurbished. I looked on the website a little and I couldn't find it/

Everything is appearing massive on my Mac screen. Endless scrolling. Sometimes I cannot even see whole objects at once. Endless scrolling. Oversized objects are a bad internet fashion. Endless scrolling. The new Apple website takes it even further. Endless scrolling. No! Endless scrolling. I got a bigger screen to see more, not to have large images and the same content. I don't like endless scrolling.

Apple has had these larger than screen pictures for years (2012 if I recall correctly), so if it's a "internet fashion" it's been in fashion for a while. If you want to see the whole image, just press "CMD"+"-"

It's not endless scrolling, I don't know what you think that term means, but that's not it. Pinterest is endless scrolling, Tumblr is endless or infinite scrolling, Apple.com is not.

Really? I think you forgot the sarcasm tag on your post. Take the ten minutes to browse through the site, and you'll be well grounded, no need for the dramatics.

I'm glad they did this. Sometimes I'd be viewing a rMBP on the store, and then I click Mac then Mac Pro to see comparisons, except the buy option is gone, because it moved away from the store.

This is good. Looks nicer too.

Do you have some specific examples?

Apples PRO programs have been there in the Mac app store to buy but Apple have always had them on their website easy to find for prospective users, now all PRO programs are hidden as if they don't care for them. The Mac app store is only for OS X users not prospective OS X users.
It's still on the website under the Mac section.

Awful, awful decision.

It makes it a tiny, tiny bit easier to buy a headline Apple product for which they create a main website for (possibly, if you happen to be using the website to browse products before you buy, and it's not like a "buy now" link taking you to the relevant store page was hard).

And it makes it a LOT harder to purchase an accessory, non-Apple product, or even a refurbished product.

On that basis, it might make sense for them from a business point of view (after all, they would rather you buy a shiny new product, and you are likely to go somewhere cheaper for accessories anyway). But it makes no sense for consumers.

This article proves how full of negativity the forum has become.

Apple updates their site so you can buy products directly from the product pages, removing the need to double up with a secondary 'store' site. Much simpler and more elegant.

...and people come here to moan. The best comment so far mentions how this will cause accessory sales to decline. Like Apple wouldn't have thought of that. Honestly...

How do you navigate to buy an iPod?

Have a guess. Go to Music and you can see Apple Music, scrolling down you will see iTunes and iPod.

It's been this way since Apple Music launched.

And btw no one complained about Apple TV being buried under 'iPod' before and that made far less sense than this.

I do find it a little strange that after they spent so much time pushing iPads for education that they don’t have a deeper discount on them.

What a mess …. as in the grand tradition of Apple software and iCloud implementations of late….. (user since 1990, still using 10.8.5, and wishes 10.6.8 would make a miraculous comeback now that IBM is buying Macs)

They probably will just disable or remove all the buy links.

Most likely not with this new site. They can still continue to sell 3rd party and even Apple products.

However, you won't see any new or updated stuff until after the announcement.

I highly doubt they would kill their enTire site. And they can't kill the link to buy a MacBook if a new one will be released.

It was a site reDESIGN. I am commenting on an aspect of the design I think could be improved upon. In my opinion, as someone with a bachelors degree in Art & Design, it is way too heavy of a design element among all of the white of both the rest of the site and the navigation bars in Safari. Maybe I should post more to your liking in the future and just say "Yay, Apple! Circlejerk!"
When people have to profess what type of college degree they have, or even making a point that they have one....

Since you think your college degree qualifies as you being right did it ever occur to you that the people that designed Apple's website just might have a degree in design far higher than yours? Herp.

what are you seeing in the USA store:

using apple's japan website, with the integrated store.
after clicking the shopping bag i get asked for my ID and password.
thats ok.

but then after clicking on any of the links in the shopping bag pull sub-menu, it again asks for the same ID and password.

why?

hi

i have found out the reason why it asks you again for your ID and password: it will accept your ID and password when you click on the shopping bag, even though you are not registered with that country's store.

in my case i am registered with the apple japan web store (credit card -wise) and therefore to shop in the USA store it actually would require an apple ID that is associated with the USA store.

i realized this because when i signed in, it actually did not transfer me to the japan web site and store. it accepted my apple ID and password, but left me in the USA web site.
