I have no words (at least ones that will pass the profanity filter) to describe these ad series.
Let's just say these advertisements are awful, to say the least.

Do these guys realize that average attention span in 2025 is just 8.25 seconds? And they make it 8:15 MINUTES!
I wasted 30 seconds but couldn't watch it longer than that, everything is so bad: acting, idea, plot, directing and editing, especially this background music, oof. If this was done by marketing agency, they would have lost many clients because of how POOR it is. And I am not even talking about bashing competitors, I am talking of the ad itself, investors should look at it because Apple's in-house marketing team probably has disposable ad budgets if they make adverts that serve no real purpose.

First of all, BSOD meme died years ago, probably back in Windows XP era. And this is coming from me, I am not a big fan of Windows 11, it certainly has flaws, but that's not the issue here. Modern Windows computers work about the same as Macs.

Secondly, how is this ad supposed to generate revenue, who is the target audience, what's the strategy behind? People shown in it seem to work for a company, and companies usually decide which computers they buy for their employees. Do they really think that by making fun of Windows users they can lure them in to Mac side (which nowadays has EVEN MORE bugs and issues than Windows ever had)? I don't get it.

Thirdly while it is true that buyers nowadays like to see funny ads but the problem is ad IS NOT FUNNY! At all. Are we supposed to laugh just because someone at Apple thought it is fun?

This ad looks like burning disposable marketing budgets, tone deaf and serves no real purpose because it is completely unable to resonate with potential target audience. I am not even comparing it to old, Steve Jobs era ads that were short, sometimes fun, direct. These ads feel like someone is working at Apple to sabotage company from inside

Make me recall 1984 Super Bowl APPLE MACINTOSH Ad. Actually come claim is IBM. EPIC is while I using PC happen to see this 1984 ad make me go Mac till now. Never go back Windows. Just that now under Tim Cook is ..... The updates like become more freq. This is why I hate when come Microsoft beside blue screen. Actually for apple ..... we hate to see spinning Rainbow colour ball.

Man does this hit different when OS26 is a tragic mess and Apple hasn’t don’t anything remarkable with their hardware in a decade.

It was fun when Apple’s trajectory was headed upwards. Now this is just cringe.

Also, way to stay current on them events, the outage happened over a year ago. Trendy.

Being better than Windows says, basically, nothing and is not necessarily something to be proud of…

Windows is still objectively far worse than macOS in reliability and the experience (except the window management, it’s far and away better than macOS here, but, well, it’s so terrible everywhere else it doesn’t matter IMO), but, really, macOS has deteriorated so badly from its original roots of “it just works” that Apple should be pretty careful on poking fun at Windows until they get their quality and UX house in order again.

After updating to OS 26 my work notebook is giving me multiple WindowServer crashes per week. Maybe fix that Apple? Oh sorry, you prefer to pay for advertisements and paying for lawyers which will try to ******** every country that you aren’t abusing your position.

The audacity to be pointing fingers at anybody else about anything when they have this liquid glass vomit interface they rolled out … is quite something.
I came here to say the same thing, but you took the words right out of my mouth!

Add:
  1. Apple Vision Pro is too heavy, uncomfortable, and expensive.
  2. New iPhone 17's aren't as compelling as they've been in years past.
  3. Apple Silicon MacBook Pro keyboards still aren't as good as the 2012 Retina MacBook Pro or 2008 Unibody MacBook Pro's keyboards.

Windows has way more versatility and flexibility with display scaling also.

When things are perfect 2x on macOS, it's great, but when you deviate from that Windows is far better.
